A DEFENSE OF~RED- HAIRED WOMEN Mrs. Leslie Carter, the actress, who Is herself plentifully endowed with hair that Is as a living flame for brightness, arises to defend the red haired woman In the following vigor ous terms: "This theory that a red-headed wo. man haa a Aery temper Is on a level with that story that If you saw a white horse you would soon see a red-headed woman: If you saw a red-headed wo- min you would see a white horse—a sort of endless chain In red-headed wo. men and white horses. There Is noth. Ing to It, and the sooner the Idea Is exploded the better It will be for the human race, because, as It Is now, a great many black-haired tartars are obtaining husbands under false pre tenses. After all Is It any serious ac cusation to say that women with red hair are sudden and quick In quarrel, since It must be admitted that they are equally sudden In reconciliation? Of their anger and Its results It may be said that the falling out all the more endears. Slow to anger la slow In for. getting the original trouble." DANCE AtTeGA0L0’8.
