DURING A RAID

New York, Aug. II.—Four alleged
bucket shops, three of which are on
Broadway, were raided by the police
and detectives yesterday on warrants
Issued at the Instigation or Assistant
District Attorney Gamut. Many of
the prisoners taken were women.
The bucket shops were all branrh
others of ths John A. Boardman Com
pany ot Philadelphia. . Thsse are de
clared to be becked by the Haight and
Freese crowd whose shops were closed
for frauds.
