Wednesday morning.
Thompson had evidently driven cabs
In the metropolis the greater part of
Ills life, and .when he spoke a decided
Fifth avenue accent fell from hie lips.
Officer Brown, who made the case,
Btated that there was a very large
crowd on the large open spnee In front
of the new depot and that the negro
drove through the people at a pace
that would have been more becoming
to Dennings or Latonla than to a pub
lic highway. This morning the negro,
still believing Atlanta to be on the
order of New York, offered the officer
two dollars to let the case drop.
