8 MISS PECK'S MARRIAGE TO MR. 8HOUP Tuesday evening at 8:80 o'clock, Min Peer! Beatrice Peck will be married to Mr. Richard Conwall Shoup, of Wil mington, Delaware, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoyt Peck, lit West Peachtree street The cert mony will be performed by Rev. Frank E. Jenkins, and Profoa enr J. Fowler Richardson will play the wedding music. The handsome home of Mr. and Mrs. Peck will be profusely decorated with smiles, palms, ferns and pink and white roses. The color motif of green, pink and white will bo carried out artistically In the menu and In the decorations of the dlnlnc room, where an elaborate buffet sup per will be served during the evening. The table will have for Its centerpiece a mass of pink and white roses which, with silver candelabra, pink shaded: pink and white bon bons, cut glass and pretty lace mate, will make an at tractive and beautiful picture. Miss Peck will be given In marriage by her father, and the ceremony will be performed In the drawing room, be fore an improvised altar of ferns and summer roses. Mien Josephine Darts, cousin of the bride, will be maid of honor, and Mr. Oeorge Rocklns, Jr., of Wilmington, Del., all! be best man. Misses Elolse Peck, 'Sophie McLeary, Isollne Camp bell and Margaret Northen will be the pretty title flower girls, wearing dainty white mull frocks, trimmed with lace and embroidery,'and pink sashes, lace ribbons, slippers and hose. Misses Virginia Bowman and Lillian Tow will serve punch. In bottoming toilettes of white mull, white pink sashes and other accessories. Miss Peck's wedding gown will be especlslly handsome. It Is of white silk French mouesellne, fashioned with many hand tucks, both on the skirt and corsage. A wide flounce elaborates the skirt, above which are small tucks. The corsage Is trim- mod with beautiful rare old point lace, which has a sentimental value. In that It was worn by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Peck, and her two aunts, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Wil liams, on their wedding gowns. The bride's bouquet will be of white roses, and she will wear a tulle veil caught with white rosebuds. Miss Josephine Davis, maid of honor, w ill be gowned In while chiffon, clnli- orntely trimmed in lace. Her bouquet will be of pink roses. Mrs. H. F. Peck, mother of the bride, will wear a handsome costume of black not. over black silk; the toilette of Mrs. J. C. Peck, grandmother of the bride, will be of white brocaded silk, 'adorned with duchesse lace. Mrs. Davis' gown will he of white radium silk, and Mrs. Williams will wear white chiffon cloth over white silk. Mr. Shoup and his bride will leave on the midnight train, for their future home at Wilmington, Del. Many elegant presents have been re ceived by the young couple from friends South and North, among which Is n large chest of silver from the ' rents of the bride, Mr. and labor Mrs. Colvin will bring Florida to the front also. The new hive being organised In Atlanta la full of enthu siasm over the prospects of the "Ideal nature school" for children, which will be Instituted by Its members. Members of the new hive. Sanders, of Greens boro, Ga„ la visiting his son, L. H. Bandera, a well-known real estate man of the city, V'aptaln Sanders Is one of the oldest graduates of Mercer. He la of the class of 1118. Of the fourteen In the freshman class of 1815, four are today living. Besides himself are Judge Burney, of Morgan county; Judge W. B. IJennatt, of gultman, and Dr. R. J. Massey, of tills city. Captain Sanders, for a man of his years. Is quite hale and loves to dwell upon the reminiscences of the late war. He was a trusted captain of Forrest’s command and followed his leader In many a hard-fought battle. DINNER TO iRIDAL PARTY. A beautiful occasion was Ihs dinner at which Mr|. F. M. This, was filled with linen pieces for the bride, nnd sealed with tissue paper, which was broken by Miss Lewis. Euchre was played and the score cards were tiny hearts pierced by hr- rows. The first prise was a linen table cover In drawn work, and the consolation was a pretty embroidered tray cover. The booby was a pack of cards. The canoe race which took place Monday evening at East Lake was one of the most attractive ev'ents of the season at this popular club. The boats were Illuminated with Japanese lanterns and the whole scene was brilliant and picturesque.
