The ceremony will be performed by
Rev. Frank E. Jenkins, and Profes-

wedding mualc. The handaome home
of Mr. and Mre. Peck will be profusely
decorated with emllax, palms, ferns
and pink and white roses. The color
motif of green, pink and white will be
carried out artistically In the menu
and In the decorations of the dining
room, where an elaborate bulfet sup
per will be served during the evening.
The table will have for Its centerpiece
a mass of pink and white roses which,
with silver candelabra, pink shaded;
pink and white bon bona, cut glass
and pretty lace mats, will make an at
tractive and beautiful picture.
Mlse Peck will be given In marrlai
by her father, and the ceremony w
be performed In the drawing room, be-
fore an Improvised altar of ferns and
summer roses.
Mies Joeephlne Davis, cousin of the
bride,'will be maid of honor, and Mr.
George Bocklns, Jr„ of Wilmington,
Del., will be beet man. Misses Elolse
Peck, Sophie McLeary,
bell and Margaret Northen will be the
pretty title flower girls, wealing dainty
white mull frocks, trimmed with lace
and embroidery, and pink sashes, lace
ribbons, slippers and hose.
Misses Virginia Bowman and Lillian
Tow will serve punch. In becoming
toilettes of white mull, white pink
eashee and other accessories.
Miss Peck’s wedding gown will be
especially handaome. It Is of white
silk French mousseline, fashioned
with many hand tucks, both on the
skirt and corsage. A wide flounce
elaborates the skirt, above which are
small tucks. The corsage Is trim
med with beautiful rare old point lace,
which has a sentimental value, In
that It was worn by the bride’s
grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Peck, and her

two aunts, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Wll
Hams, on their wedding gowns. The
bride's bouquet will be of w hite roses,
and she will wear a tulle veil caught
with white rosebuds.
Miss Josephine Davis, maid of honor,
will be gowned In white chiffon, elab
orately trimmed In lace. Her bouquet
will be of pink roses.
Mrs. H. F. Peck, mother of the bride,
will wear a handsome costume of black
net, over black silk: the toilette of
Mrs. J. C. Peck, grandmother of the
bride, will be of white brocaded silk,
adorned with duchesse lace. Mrs.
Davis' gown will be of white' radium
silk, and Mrs. Williams will wear
white chiffon cloth over white silk.
Mr. Shoup and hie bride will leave
on the midnight train, for their future
home at Wilmington, Del.

gia, has received a commission from
Mrs. Lillian M. Hollister, supreme com
mander of the order for the state of
Florida. In addition to Georgia. Mrs.
Colvin has been wonderfully successful
In building up the order, and today the
membership In Georgia Is greater than
In any other state In the extreme
South. For popularity, It has no equal.
By using the same perseverance and
labor Mr*. Colvin will bring Florida
to the front also. The new hive being
organized In Atlanta le full of enthu
siasm over the prospect* of the "Ideal
nature school" for children, which will
be Instituted by Its members.

Captain D. H. Sanders, of Greens
boro, Ga., I*-visiting his son, L. H.
Sanders, a well-known real eatata man
of the city. Captain Sanders la one
of the oldest graduates of Mercer. He
Is of the class of 1148. Of the fourteen
In the freshman class of 1845, four
are today living. Beside* himself are
Judge Burney, of Morgan county;
Judge W. B. Bennett, of Quitman, and
Dr. R. J. Maaeey, of this city.
Captain Sanders, for a man of hla
yearn. Is quite hale and loves to dwell
upon the reminiscences of the late'war.
He was a trusted captain of Forrest'a
command and followed*his leader In
many a hard-fought battle.

nell, Gainesville, Ga., on Thursday
evening, there will be held a social
meeting of the First Baptist church of
that city complimentary to Rev. and
Mra. O. J. Copeland, .who have recently
moved to Gainesville, Dr. Copeland
having accepted the pastorate of the
Gainesville Baptist church. Dr. Cope
land was formerly pastor rtf Jackson
Hill Baptist church, Atlanta, and with
hla family made many friends during
his residence In this city.
Dr. and Mrs. Copeland reached
Galnosvllle a few days ago, after a
vacation spent In South Carolina. The
membership of the Gainesville Baptist

a beautiful floral bell, made of pink

linen pieces for the bride, and sealed
with tissue paur, which was broken
by Miss Lewis.
