Midway Island, North Pacific Ocean,

landed from the steamship Mongoloa,
of the Pacific Mall line, which went
ashore on Midway reef, but the ship
Is In a perilous position. The ship Is
being lightened In an effort to float her.
Her sister ship, the Manchuria, which
went ashore on Rabbit Island on Au
