Chattanooga, Tenn., ’Sept. 26.—Dur ing the reunion of the Society of the Army of the Cumberland, which will be held here October 17 and 18, several regimental organizations will hold their reunion also. Among these will be the Eighth and Seventeenth Ohio regi ments and the Tenth Ohio cavalry, which have reserved accommodations for 600 soldiers. They, will come here In n special train. A Republican will be nominated for congress, though the committee knows there Is no chance to win. Chairman J. C. Waycross, Ga., Sept. 26.—The city has recently purchased ground, for a park from Dr. Folks, on Elizabeth street, and now Hon. W. M. Toomer and Dr. B. H. Williams have both of fered free of charge to the city bodies of land on which It is proposed to es tablish a park.
