Landrum on Monday afternoon charged
with aaaault and battery upon W. P.
Kelly, of 312 Petera building.
The trouble uroae a few ago when
Stevens had Kelly arrested on the
charge of assaulting Stevens’ father.
The case was tried before Juatlce Orr,
who placed Kelly under a $200 bond.
But before the trial Stevens, on
meeting Kelly on Whitehall street,
became so incensed at Kelly that he at
tacked him. Whereupon a warrant was
Issued for Stevens, on the charge of
assault and battery. Stevens put up a
bond of $100.

CASE FOURTH TIME
On Monday next the supreme court
will take up'the criminal docket. At
torney --General Hart has seven cases
to argue before the court, and Is now-
busied reading the records In them.
One case comes back to the court for
the fourth time, the case of Albert
Young, colored, convicted of murder In
Baldwin county. Attorney John Coop
er represents Young In this case. Each
time new trials were granted through
some defect In the evidence, but on the
Anal trial a conviction was secured.
Another case of unusual Interest
comes from Monroe county. OU* Smith,
the son of a physician of prominence
In Oulloden. shot and killed a young
man named Walaon. It appears that
Watsoh and two other young* men
In Culloden were selling enlarged pic

They attended church one evening,
and on the way out Otis Smith's father
