It Is expected, however, that the local
team f« going to make a better showing
against Vanderbilt than tins any other team
thla year, or thau any other will—uot even
barring Sewanee. That will be I he attempt
of the Yellow Jackets. They hardly hope
to win from the all-star aggregation which
Is representing NssUvIlle’s foremoat Insti

them down to a reasonable score.
That Tech will put up a great showing
against the wonderful gold and black ag-
gregatlon her followers believe. The team
Is rounding Into tip-top form. Brown and
Luck, In spite of their condition, played
marvelously Uall^ Saturday iignlitst
Georgia, and will be right at their best
by the end of this week. The rest of the
team is soum! nnd ready for trouble.
It is doubtful Tf nay team In tin* South,
xeept V.tuderbilt. could beat Tech to-

tin* scores they. an? making would show,
they eftuht not hold their own wrlth I lets*

One thing which looks prolmblc on Satur
day Is the tine by Tech of all the trick
plays, -forward passes, on-side kicks, fake
kicks, delayed passe* and stnut plays lu
their large and varied repertoire. It* Is
not likely' that Tech cau gain against Van-
