the belief Is now strongly held that

In excess of current supplle*. What
ever tho ultimate result may prove
the actual strength of the situation
has been materially aided by the In-

of-sufficient moisture to further check
the movement would naturally confirm
opinions as to higher levels, and at th*
saino time ’ reduce considerably the

New York, Nov. 17—We aro prepar.
ed for a higher stock market, mainly
becuuso we appear to be on the eve of
a greater realisation of the benefits
arising from fundamental * conditions,
particularly In the return to the money
centers of tho proceeds of the great
crops. Local banks are already fol
lowing the Influx, of tnoney from the
Interior In the loan market, tempted by
high money rates. Wo expect this to
continue, but apart from all this there
Is a manifest disposition among the
larger controlling Interests, not only
to continue a larger distribution of
earnings, and Increase of wage scales,
but also to bring to a culmination
plans long under discussion for the
greater unification of vast railway sys
tems. The way appears clear to us
for an upward price movement In the
security list.
