Augusta, Ga., Dec. 8.—L. Bragc^o,
an Italian about 40 years of age, was
tried Jn recorder’s court here yester
day morning on the charge of bearing
his wife. Two cases of disorderly con
duct were docketed against Braga**«»
and on the first he was sentenc'd to
pay a fine of $5 or work 10 days on ti e
public works and on the second charge
he was sentenced to pay a fine of $100
or 00 days.

police officer, last night shot and In
stantly killed Kd Williams, colored,

street from police headquarters. The

dredge Atlantic, according to the pres
ent program, is to return to Brunswick
within tho next two or three weeks tu
continue und complete the* work of
dredging out Brunswick river along tho
site of the Brunswick Steamship Com
pany’s wharves. The Atlantic while
dredging tho channel will also fill in
the marsh land on the water front with
the mud brought up from the bottom >>t
the river.

can Tie and Timber Company, of this
city, has again closed a charter for
the next trip north of the steamship
Sutlllu of the Brunswick Steamship

a cargo of about forty thousand cross-
tles.
