The decorations were suggestive of the
approaching season and a buffet lunch,

menced at 10:30 o’clock, with the grand

mln Held and Mr. Henry S. Ryall was
solemnized Wednesday afternoon at
3:30 o'clock at the St. Marys-on-the-
Hlghlands. Miss Reid was attired in
a blue golng-away gown and was at

Annie Reid and Miss Carrie Ryall.
Immediately after the ceremony Mr.
Ryall and ills bride left on a wedding

enjoyed to the greatest extent. The
Kinder Symphonle, an orchestra com
posed of “baby" musicians gave the

Monday the Xavier Chapter, D. A.
R., held the regular monthly session
with Mrs. J. A. Rounsavllle at the
Cherokee. Mrs. Charles McColllster,
the chapter’s representative to the re
cent convention In Columbus, gave an
Interesting recountal of that conclave.
Even thus early plans were discussed
for the entertainment of the convention
next November, when Xavier chapter
will be hostess to the state.
The Rome chapter met In their room
at the court house on Tuesday and
among other routine business nomi
nated officers. As each office had only
one candidate, the ticket will carry
unanimously: President, Mrs. J. D.
Thomas; recording secretary. Miss Car
rie Gordon: corresponding secretary,
Mrs. J. B. Allen: historian, Mrs. Mary
Wright Shropshire.
Tuesday afternoon Mrs. George
Campbell entertained the Novelty Club
at her attractive home on First ave
nue. The effective decorations herald
ed Christmas and the hostess' cordial
welcome bespoke the Christmas cheer.
Quantities of thickly berried holly and
holly wreaths at every window with
Christmas bells suspended all around
nnd many red tapers burning made a
charming array rtf brilliant coloring.
The membership with Just the vacan
cies filled assembled eighteen guests
for a number of games of six-hand
euehei\ at three tables placed In the
drawing room. Upon the tiny hand-
painted Christmas bells the games
were tallied and for the highest score
Mrs. Oscar McWilliams, Jr., received
the first prize, a beautiful Japanese
chop dish. The consolation prize went
to Mrs. Garllngton, a bunch of crim
son carnations. Even in the delicious
refreshments the Christmas motif was
suggested by the frozen Christmas
bells. Mrs. Campbell's guests were

the daughter of Dr. John Rhys, one of
the best Celtic scholars In the world,
