It fa mad# from the best barley that oan bo to- Uclod In Buropo with tho eueneo of an aromatlo Ilolian borry of aoknowUdgod and oxtraordlnary modecinal’proportles. It hu longtloco acquired a higher reputation, both la Europe and Ameri ca, than auy other diuretic beverage. In Gravel, Goat, and Aheamatinn,1n OUtxuc tlons of the Uiadderand Kidneys, and in Gener al debility, its effects are prompt, decided and Invariably reliable. And it ia not only a remedy for these maladies, but, in all caies in which they are produced by drinking bad water, which li al most universally tbo cause of thorn, it operates as a sure preventive. The distressing effect upon tbo stonmeh, bowels and bladder,'of travelers or now residents, and all persons unuocustomcd to them, produced by th* waters of nearly ail flur great Inlan 1 r^rs. like the Ohio, Mississippi aod Alabama, from the large quantity of decayed vegetable matter eont tained in them, in n state of solution, is well known, as also that of tho wuters of limestone re gions, in producing Gravel, Calculi, and stone ia the bloddor. The Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps is an nbsoluto corrective of these injurious pro perlios ofbod water, and consequently prevents the diseases which they oceasion. It is also found to bo a cure and preventive of Fever and Ague, a complaint cauced by the conjoint effect of vegctablo malaria in the atmostpheve, and vegetable prutescncei in the waters of those di«* m in which U principally prevails. The Ar- tuu tic Schiodam Schnapps are consequently in great domand by persons travelling or about to settle ia these ports of the country, especially, ae well as bv many in evory community where it ban bocomeknown, on account of its various other remedial properties. Iu all cases of a dropsical tendency it ii gen* erally tho only remedy requirod, when it iinn been adopted in tho early stages of tho disease. In dyspepsia maladies, when taken in proper quantities, as a diet drink, and especially at din ner, it is found, by uniform experience, lo bo em inently efficacious in the most obstinate coses, when even tho best of the usual remedies hare failed to afford more than temporary relief. In casc3 of Flatulency, it is an immediate and inva riable speclfie, and it may be administered in di luted and proportionate quantities, even to young infants, in all of those paryoxisms of griping pain in the stomach and bowels to which they are os* pocially subject, as woll as in tho cholic of grown persons. Its judicious adoption lu connection with tbo principal meals, or when a sense of exhaustion dictatos ite use, never fnito to relievo the debility attendant on protracted chronic maladies,* low temperament, and exhanstud vital energy, by whatever cause induced. Theso are facts to which mnny of the most eminent medical men both in Europo and the United States have borne testimony, and which are corroborated by their written authorities.
