Upon farther investigation yesterday we
lean that what we termed, as above, a
“collision on the State Rond” magnified
into importance what was only a triding
incident, scarcely worth noticing—our in

to particulars. The facta an (imply these.
A freight train wa* detained by dipping
on the wet rail*, and was unable to make
ita time. The approaching train wa* duty
warned by a runner, bat in despite of th*
brakes, owing to the cause above referred
to, the cow-catchers of the two engine*
came in contact, injuring them slightly. No
damage was done to either of the engines.
Wa make this explanation fee the reason
that ta all pertaining to the State Road, the
ptopVa of Georgia, whose property it is,
feel a deep interest; and at ibis particular
juncture it abcorbs moeh of poblic consid

of coarse we were, and ihe reason closed

At tbe saggestioo ol numerous friends,

Therefore we wish a Han of our own,
