had an opportunity to acknow
ledge the receipt of your excel
lency's favor of the 13th \ O ,
vember, which was delivered
me on the road to Tuckabarchec
and I cannot reply to the whole
as I could. Ihe d cuments*

The national council was
convened at Tuckabatchee on
the 24th of November; i}-«
meeting has been a very inter
ring one : 1 had much conver
sation whh the chiefs and felt
! that as an agent, I podefied their
i confiden t in a high degree.
1 he Chiefs have agreed rhat all
tnifehief m kers and thieves of
any country of white peocle, fhall
be under the government of the
agent for Indian affahs.
Mr. Bowles is near the mouth
of this river, from whence he
continues to pour forth hi 3

United Mates in this department,
and I continue my arrangements
to punifli all thieves and mifehief
makers. We have pundhed in
an exemplary manner the leader
of the banditti, who intuited the
commiffioners of Spain and the
United States, on the 17th bf
