Rifle Meet. *
Washington.— The National Rifle
Association matches will be conduct
ed under a new system this fall. In
place of a tournament at one central
point It has been decided to divide the
country Into five divisions and hold
national and N. R. A. matches in each
division.
The matches of the eastern states
known as division A, which includes
Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont,
Massachusetts. Rhode Island. Con
necticut. New York, Pennsylvania,
New Jersey. Delaware, Maryland, Vir
ginia. West Virginia and the District
of Columbia, will he held at the Sea
girt, N. J., range beginning August 24.
The matches of the southern di
vision. division B. including North and
South Carolina. Georgia, Florida, Ken
tucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mis
sissippi. will be held at Jacksonville,
Fla, beginning October 6.
In division C, including central
western states, there will be no com
petition this year but the states which
desire may send teams to the nearest
divisional shoot which will be that of
I division D, to he held at Fort Riley.

After taking a month's vacation,
the St. Luke's bsseball team returned
to the diamond and won from the
