gusla and Aiken were present, and
all spoke heartily in favor of the utt

Kidson, county supervisor of Aiken

a great voice in the final settlement
of the matter, spoke favorably of the
project.
The Aiken board of supervisors will,

ings ever started In Aiken and will
result in great benefit to the cotin
try.

been pledged hv public subscription

At the meeting at the Athlon hotel
■ yesterday afternoon all present took
part in the discussion concerning the
new boulevard and the gathering was
one of tne most enthusiastic and har
monious that has been held In Au
gusta in some time.
It Is learned that many of the lead
lug taxpayers of Aiken county have
signified their desire to have the road
constructed. Acting on this sugges
tion It Is quite certain that the active
work will commence within a short
time.
