Butler's Island, which was attacked
by anthaenos,. last year and between
50 and 75 per cent of the growing
crop there was destroyed, where it it,
hoped Unit a variety of cotton mat

ravages of thlH disease.
With the entry of this new disease
upon tli,. growing cotton crop of Hie
Ktate no estimate cun be placed upon
the damage that it will do.
In those counties where II has not

The Georgia cotton crop Is rapidly
coming to a picking stage and gins
and cotton oil mills are busy with their
burden. The cotton seed has become
a valuable asset of the crop and are
being crushed Into cotton seed meal

The planters are taking every prr
caution to preserve th,. cotton seed
