Lagd. —We have not heard of any transactions sinctmuir last, but our quotations will give a fair criterion as to the value of llie article. Sugar. —There has been a fair demand for Lou isiana Sugar since our last. Thece have been no arrivals, and the sales have been confined to store lots,of which upwards of ]3ohhds. have changed hands at prices ranging from 7J lo Sic., according to quality. These transactions have left but a very limited supply in fir-t hands. Coffee. —Several small lots Rio, in all about 70 bags, of tiie old crop, brought 7i and 71; and 150 bags new do, at 8 and Bsc. per lb. Molasses. —ln the absence of any arrivals, the transactions have been confined to store lots in . small parce's. as follows, viz ; 10<J bbla. New Or leans at 324 to 34; and 80 hhds. new Cuba, from 22 to 23 and 24 Ic. per gallon. Domestic Liquors —The transactions of the week have been confined to small lots New Orleans \\ hi'kv at 23 and 24c. per gallon. Candles. —There was a sale of I2G boxes Sperm Candles at 23c., and 69 do. Adamantine, Provi dence make, at24c. per lb. Freights. —We have a further reduction to notice, and now quotet to Liverpool 7-16ths for cotton in square bags. A vessel was chartered yesterday for Ilaxreat 1 a Ho. for Colton in square and round bags, and S 3 per 600 Ihs for Rice. Coastwise freights continue brisk. Towards the close of the j week, the New-York packets were getting 9-IGrhs forCotton in square hags, and sl* per tierce for Rice. Two vessel* have been chartered for Boston, which, with the packets, are taking. Cotton at d c. in square bags, and S 1 s per tierce for Rita). MACON, Jan. 14. Cotton. —Our market for the lo t two or three days has been very brisk.— The. receiptsare light, hut the demand good at our quotations, which, it will he observed, are an ad vance on the prices that prevailed last week. Jan. 15.- Cotton. —Arrived since the Sth inst., 10003 bales Upland (5040 by Central Rail Road) and 386 bales Sea Island, and cleared in the same time, 10495 hales I pland and 337 hales Sea Island; leaving on hand, including all on ship hoard not cleared on the 15th inst., a stock of 51337 bales Upland and 1159 hales Sea Island, against 11125 hales Upland and 766 bales Sea Is land at the same period last year. '1 he receipts at this port thisseason, reach 129660 bales, against 62262 at the same time last year. Unring the past week, there has been a good de mand for Cotton. Holders have,in some instances, , obtained a slight advance on finer qualities. The j sales, however, are not as large as last week.
