GROCERIES —The weather during the week
has been very unfavorable to out-door operations, 1
bu. notwithstanding, a jfir business has been trans.
acted with the country. We have made some
change in our table above so far as regards the
prices of several articles, and would refer to them. |
The only large sale that lias coin- to onr know
ledge this week is about 200 bags Rio Coffee, in
lots, at 84 a Bic. per lb.
FLOUR—We notic ed yesterday, in the ware
house of Messrs. Dye & Robertson, a small lot of j
Flour from the mills of Wilson NVsbit, Cedar BlulT,
Ala., which f >r neatness of package and quality of
material will compare with the best Canal. This
is, we believe the first shipment from that quarter, j
to this city, and if it is a fair sample of that which
is to come, it will find a ready market. It is held
at $5,50 per bbl.
THE RIVER—Is still inboatable condition and j
boats lake in and discharge at the wharves. We j
have no change to notice in the rates of freight, |
which continue 75c. per bale to Savannah and
§1 per Rail Road to Charleston.
