We are daily receiving testimony like the fol
low mg from tlie North, South, East and West.
Missis. Reese A Ware —Gentlemen —I was af
flicted with asthma for fourteen years, and had
tried every remedy in the country; 1 had also been
to several physicians, and found no relief whatev
er. I was afflicted at times so severely, that the
blood would gush from my nose, and my breath
ing was difficult. Indeed the disease had gained
so much on me that 1 despaired of ever getting
well, when 1 chanced to get a bottle of “ Wistar’s
Bal.-aui of Wild Cherry,” which effected a perfect
cure, and 1 now consider myself perfectly sound.
This can he proved by numbers of men in Frank
lin county and its vicinity, and I think it my duty
to let it be known.

Some few sales are making, but at prices so irre
gular, that it is impossible to class prices, and we
may look for this state of things to continue until
the Cambria's advices come to hand, now nearly
due.

The reluctance of factors to meet the views of buy
ers, which confined last week’s sales to 7(X)0 hales,
gave way on Monday, and 6000 bales were sold in
consequence, at a decided decline, one list of 3100
bales good middling having been disposed of at
lie. This decline did not however satisfy the
buyers, and the market receded another ic. until
| Thursday, w hen purchasers came forward freely,
arresting the decline, and creating an improvement
, of fully Ic. The sales of the week amount to
35,000 bales, allowing 5500 bales tor to day s opc

Sugar. —The week commenced with an anima
ted demand, but it fell off towards ihe latter part,
j and to-day the market was extremely dull, the
sales only reaching 200 hhds. making the total of
the week 275 • hhds. The inquiry has been prin
cipally for the hotter desrriptions, and they have
in consequence advanced in value. We quote in
ferior U a 5, ordinary 5$ ass, fair 5i a 6f, prime
6j a 6», choice 6$ a Tic.
Molasses. —A steady demand lias existed during
the whole week. Western buyers being the chief
operators, and fully 3500 bids have changed hands.
Prices have ranged from 27 a 274 c, the highest
sale made this day haling been at 271 c.
Corn. —The demand continues unabated, and
arrivals meet w ith immediate sale. Some few lots
have been sold at a fraction over the dollar, Hut
yesterday’s heavy receipts have made holders free
I sellers at SL The sales of the week may be put
: dow n at 40,000 sacks, allowing 10.000 for to-day’s
operations. Some choice yellow lias been sold at
$1,05.
Whisky. —The speculators have been less ac tive
this week, and the sales have been limited. rang
ing from 23 a 23ic. for Rectified,and 21, a 26c lor
Raw.
Baron. —Owing to the scan ity prices keep out
of all proportion to other articles in the Pork line.
Sides are selling at 8, a 9, Shoulders at Gi a 7,
• Hams at 8 a 9c.
i Freights. —Tire number of disengaged vessels in
j port is so small that Freights have still an upward
tendency. Colton to Liverpool has been shipped
at Id. Flour at Bs, Corn 21 a 22d. Coastwise
Freights have also advanced, though there is very
little offering.
MONTGOMERY, Feb. 16.— Cotton. —The mar
ket still continues dull and inactive; very linle
coming in, and very little doing. From 9 a 10c
would cover ail transactions, though sales over 94c
i are rather rare.
APALACHICOLA , FEB. 13th.— Cotton. —On
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there was a
! fair inquiry lor cot ton, with sales ol 500 to 800 bales
