to m’-sl other Hitters, of not proving injurious by
continued use. They contain not a single delete

which accompany each bottle, may be given with
entire safety to an infant in the month
If the Colleton is taken regularly and persever

they will, soon alter the use of a few bottles, he
found to act on the system like a charm—imparting
vigor to the stomach, bracing the nerves, cleans

And although it lias been testified by several that
they are excellent in many others, yet in none other

The Colleton Hitters have been eight years be

MAGNETIC FLIT ID.
MMHIS remarkable invention, which ha* received the
■_ almost universalapp;obaiioti of the medical pro
fit ion of Great Britain, comprises an entirely new ap
plication of Galtauism, as a remedial agent, hy means of
which the ordinary Galvanic I’,a tenes. Electric and .Mag
netic Ma’chincs. &.C., are entirely dispensed with, and the
mysterious powers of Galvanism applied without any
of the objections which are inseperable from the gene
ral mode now in use. The strong doses, and at irregu
lar intervals, in winch Galvani.-m is applied by itie Ma
chines, has be -n pronounced, as era fair and impuitial
trial, tube decidedly INJURIOUS, and it was to remedy
this radical defect, that this new application was pro
jected, which after unceasing toil and perseverance, has
been brought to its present slate of perlectiuti. The
Galvanic Kings answer ail the purposes of the most
expensive Machines, and in m my other respects are
more safe and certain m accomplishing the desired
•fleet.
Tiie Galwntc Kings, used in connection with the
Magnetic Fluid, a e confidently recommended in all,

these complaints are among the most pantful and uni
versal to which we are subject. They arise, w illiotilex
ception, from one simple cause—a derangement of the
Nervous system—and it was in these cases that other
“ remedies” having so often failed, a new agent was
f really n -eded, which it is confidently believed, Inis
been found in the proper and judicious application of
Galvanism.

must tie witnessed to be believed, and as a certain pre

ly recommended. The Kings are, of different prices,
being made of all siz *s, and o ' various ornamental pat

the slightest inconvenience. In fact the sensation is
rather agreeable than otherwise.
The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands,
i-arlers. Necklaces, Ac.
In some cases of a very severe character and of long
standing, the power as applied by the Galvanic Kings
is not sulfic'cnt to arre.-lthe progress of Disease and uln
mately to restore health. The unproved modification in
the Galvan c Belts, Brace ets. Ate., entirely reme
dies tai.s objection ; any degrecnf pow er that is required
can readily lie obtained, and no complaint which the
mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect "ill fail to be
permanently relieved. Th se articles are adaj ted to the
waist, arms, w n.-ts, limbs ancles or any part of ilie body
with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces
are u.->ed wiih greater benefit in ra.-es of PronchiTls i r
affections of the throat generally ; a!.-o in cases of Ner

preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, aud similar
complaints.
Chri-tic’s Magnetic Fluid.
Is issued in connection w iih tint Galvanic Kings, and
all their modifications. This coinpa-ition has been pro
nounced by the French I'.inn to be one of the most
extraordinary discoveries of modern science. It s be
lieved to poss ss a remarkable power of re.ndi.riug the
Nerves seiisitive toGalvahic actioii, by these means
causing a circulation of Itie influence at the seat of dis
ease, and thus giving rapid and permanent relief. No
olhercmnposiiioii in chemistry is known to produce the

Magiietic Fluid contains nothingi*apa le of the slight

in itsaclion as it is beneficial In itsresuh. Full explana

at prices within reach of all, and t c discoverer only re

and permanent benefit.

These articles form another valuable application of
the mysterious mtlue ice of Galvanism. They are an
important adjunct to the genuine Galvaihc Kincsand
their modifications, acting njion the same principle, but
having this advantage of more meat applica ion. They
are confidently recommended ns a valuable addition in
the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic ; in
all nervous complaints.and as a positive remedy in cases
of Pain and We ik..e.-s i the Clie-l or Back. Pain in the
Side, in Asthni t ic Affections, and in Weakness or Op
pression of the Pulmonary Organs. In Spinal Com
plaints; their effects arc of the most decided character,
and they have often been used with complet ■ success.
Thev are also of the greatest advantage in Pains and

for many of tliove complaints to which lemules are
especially liable. As an effectual means for Irengtlien

causes ; as a certain aid in Constitutional Weakn ss. as a
Preventive for Colds and in all affections of the Chest
generally the Galvanic Strengt ening Plaster will lie

The proprietor of this Alterative would most re

this preparation to thetr notice without due reflec
tion. and close and rigid sindy, nor until afier
twelve years’ experience had manifested its great
superiority over every other article of the kind.—
and he now recommends it with confidence, fully
believing that the above combination of media me j
will effectually eradicate from i he system a clavs
of disease some of w hich have heretofore been con
sidered incurable.
He lias prescribed it in almost every variety of
disease and with unparalleled success, especially
in cutaneous affections, cancerous, scrofulous and
scorbutic diseases, and di.-eases originating from I
obstruction or enlargement of the glands or impuri
ty of the blood.
Cancer and Cancerous Tumors.
He has used this preparation in upwards oftwen
ty we 1 defined cases of cancer and cancerous tu
mors, and in every case but one with perfect aud
entire success.
Bronchocele or Goitre, (Swelled Neck.)
He has prescribed it in over a hundred cases of
goitre, ami it has.never failed in a single instance
to completely remove the disease. Not a solitary
case of failure. All were cured.
The success he has met with in curing hronchn
eele and cancerous affections has convinced him
that these dangerous and horrible diseases may be
removed with as much certainly as Fever and
Ague. He does not wish to he understood as say
ing that they can he cured as soon as Fever and
Ague, but w iih as much certainty; and further, that
he has good reason for believing that this prepara
tion will not only t lire these diseases w hen formed,
hut that it destroys the virus or poisonous principle
lurking in the system, from which that peculiar
class of diseases, as well as that us scrofula emanate.
Scrofula—King’s Evil.
This preparation has heetmised in numerous rases
of Scrofula, King’s Evil, ami scrofulous swellings,
and always with the most deci ed success.
Skin Diseases.
He has prescribed it in a great variety of cutane

and jaundiced skin, <fec.
Dyspepsia and Liver Complaint.
It has been used in numerous cases of liver com
plaint and Dyspepsia, and with the happiest effect.
Tic-Bon loureuz.
It has been used in several cases of Neuralgia,
and in every case it was successful.
Rheumatism.
This preparation has been prescribed in a great
many cases of chronic rheumatism, and in every
case in vvlnch it was used until the system became
affected by the medicine, the disease was removed 1
(•out.
A number of cases of gout have been cured by
litis preparation. In one ol these cases, the man
had been afflicted with it so severely for thirteen
years as to entirely disable him from business, ami
fur five months immediately previous to his taking
the Alterative he had been confined to his room;
hut before he had finished the third bufie. he was
enabled to walk about the streets and soon after re
turned lo his husines-s, from which lie had so long
been excluded by his afflictions.
Dropsical Swellings,
This medicine increases the powers of digestion,
excites the absorbents into healthy exercise, by
which watery or calcareous depositions, and all
j unnatural enlargements are reduced. It imparts
j tone and vitality to the whole system, removing
sick and morbid headaches,giddiness, wandering
pains and nervous affections.
In fact, in every case w here the medicine has
been taken for some time, no matter for vv h t pur
pose, tbe general health of the pt'-ent has always
been improved oy it.
In conclusion, ibe proprietor would say thalsoine
of the most astonishing cases of skin diseases, can
cer, bronchocele, and scrofula, have been cured tty
this medicine, that have ever been recorded; but
w ant of room in this sheet precludes their publica
tion at this time.
CANCER.
An interesting case cured by Jayne's Alterative.
I In the spring of 1831, a cancerous tumor appear
ed in the riehl breast of Mrs. Phoebe, wile of Peter
Stretch, of Salem, N. J. Ji was examined hy many
Physicians, and was considered by all as cancerous,
and besides bore ad the characteristic marks of
one. All pro’-able means of removing il were used
without ihe slightest benefit, it continued to in
crease both in size ami painfulness, until ail hope
ol saving her life, but by a painful operation, was
abandoned, vv hich, after a consultation ot eminent
Physicians, was performed, Jan. Ist, 1832, hy Dr.
John Rhea Harton, assisted hy Dr. Redman, the
proprietor, and two other medical gent'emen. The
whole and entire right breast was rente i, and af
ter examination of the tumor, was ptortoJiiced In
all present a cancer of ibe most malignant charac
ter. In about three months, aftcreiiduring incredi
ble sufferings. she was enabled, though broken in
spirit, to get about again. she remained feeble,
and her general health was exceedingly bad, as in
deed it had been for several years before. In the
spring of 1837. upwards of five years after her loeasi
had been removed, a painful tumor made its ap
pearance on the right side immediately over the
part formerly occupied hy the nipple of the rigid
breast, prev ions to its removal, 't his tumor steadi
ly increased for several months, and became so
painful as to deprived her of rest. The glands un
der the right arm were enlarged; and scirrhus, and
a hard, irregular, and at times painful tumour, ap
peared in the left breast. No operation could now
arrest Ihe disease Indeed her whole body appear
ed to he a mass of disease. Her case was consid
! ered hopeless. 6he was of a very scrofulous habit,
1 both her parents having tiled of Pulmonary con-*
! sumption. The experiment was now made with
1 this Alterative. It was at first given in small
| doses, three times a day, ami the. doses very gratlu
! ally, hut steadily increased daily, as Ions; as she
i took it, which was about six months, and the skin
over ai d around the tumour was wet night and
morning with a strong solution of lodine and Hy
drioil.ite Potash. The tumour continued increas
ing in size for about six weeks, and was at times
very painful, when the pain suddenly ceased alto
gether, and the iiimotirswelled out at the base, and
became soft and then began to diminish, and con
tinued gradually decreasing until every vestige of
disease was removed. The tumour in her left ,
breast, and those in her right axilla were also dis- j
! persed. No cancerous or scrofulous tumours ever
appeared afterwards; and her general health, which
had h- en so had for fourteen years as to make life a
burthen, was eflec ually and permanently restored.
The proprietor is in possession of the diseased
breast, and those who choose may examine it. He
would also say that he could mention over a dozen
cases equally interesting, wherein his Alterative
has subdued cancerami cancerous tumours, but he
has not room hereto record them.
Airs. Sarah Young, of Quinton’s Bridge, N. J.,
had a goitrous tumour on the left side, of her w ind
pipe, a- large as the half of an orange, w hich was
cured by using this Alterative fur about four
months.
Miss R S , South Fourth-street, Phila
delphia. was also cured of an enlargement of the
throat, which filled the entire space the
chin and hreasl-bonc, and extended around on '
each side of her neck to behind her ears, and from
her ears to her shoulders, and produced awful de
formity. It commenced growing when she was
but five years old. and continued gradually to in
crease until she was nineteen, at which time she
commenced using this Alterative, which she took
for seven months, which entirely' reduced the en
largement; and she has now as smooth and pretty
a neck as can be found. The proprietor is not at
liberty to give her name in prim, but w ill refer per
sons to her.
