Previous to wearing the Body Brace, I was in the habitual use of the friction brush, which I thou gltt of great service to me, and for some vears j supposed that J could not live without it; now i j have laid it aside, having had no recurrence ot | lip' symptoms which induced its use since I wore i the Brace, and I feel warranted in saving that not onlv has n.v abilitv to endure fatigue, been greatly renovated, by Dr. Banning’s Brace, but that my general health has also improved under ! its use. Steam Comm :n[cation with tub West In dies - -The Charleston Courier of yesterday says— “We understand that a Company has recently been formed, in our city, with a capital of some OrtO, the whole of which has been taken, for the purpose of establishing a communication with Havana. It is in contemplation to build a suita ble boat for this purpose, which will also touch at K'-y West. She is to be placed under the com mand of Captain Bark man, who has been long known as the commander of the ship Anson, be longingto one of the New York Packet Lines." MAIL BOAT SUNK. The Apalachicola Advertiser of the 17th inst. says—“ The U. S. Alail Steamer Augusta, bound down was run into by the steamer Eu faula night before last opposite Road’s, about four miles from town. The Augusta tilled and sunk immediately. The crew and passengers were giaved. The boat is sii| posed to be a total loss-, a part of the cargo has been saved and also the boat’/? furniture. A few bales of cotton stowed in the engine room may be lost-—their was hut a small amount of cotton on board.” THE ILLUMIN VTON AT PHILADELPHIA. A letter to the Editor of the Baltimore Patriot from Miller & Co.'s Express office, dated COth nisL, 10 o’clock, says—“ The illumination in Philadelphia presented the grandest and most bfUUiful spectacle that I have ever seen. Every lublic building and every private hou-e is bril liantly lighted up to the dormant windows, and thousands are promenading the streets to view the enchanting scene. The North American and the Ledger offices have each a Drummond Light upon their roofs, which is seen far and wide. The U.
