Pimples, Carbuncles fc. , DySpejisia and Liver Complaint, Nervous Diseases, Dropsical Swellings, Constitutional Disorders and disease* originating from a depraved or Impure elate of tiie Blood or other fluids of the body. The proprietor of this Alterative would most re spectfully assure the public that he has not offered this preparation to their notice without doe reflec tion, and clo-e and rigid study, nor until after twelve years’experience had manifested its great superiority' over every other article rs the kind.— .md he now recommends it with confidence, fyliv believing that the above combination oi medicine v/ill effectually eradicate iront the system u class of disease some of which have hereloiure been con sidered incurable. He has prescribed it in almost every variety of disease and with unparalleled success, especially in cutaneous affections, cancerous, scrofulous and scorbutic diseases, and diseases originating from obstruction or enlargement of the glands or impuri ty-of the blood. Cancer and Cancerous Tumors. He has used tht* preparation in upwards of twen ty well defined cases of cancer arid cancerous tu mors, and in every case but one with perfect and entire success. I?ronchoee!c or Goitre, (Swelled Neck.) He has prescribed it in over a hundred cases of goitre,am! it ha> never failed in a single instance t > completely remove the disease. Nut a solitary case of failure. All were cured. The success he. has met w ith hv curing hroncho ede and cancerous affections has convinced him Unit these dangerous and horrible diseases may be removed with as much certainty us Fever and Ague. He does not wish to be understood as say ing that they can he cured as soon a* Fever and Ague, but with as much certainty: and further, that be has good reason for believing that, this prepara tion will not only i tire these diseases when formed, but that it destroys the virus or poisonous principle lurking in the system, from which that peculiar class of diseases, as well as that ofscrufula emanate. Scrofula—King's Evil* This preparation hits been nsec in numerous rases of Scrofula, King’s Evil, and scrofulous swellings, nnd always with the most deci :ed success. Skin Diseases. It has been used in several cases of Neuralgia, and in every case it was succetslul. Rheumatism. This preparation has been prescribed in a grmt many cases of chronic rheumaism, and in every case, in which it was used until the system became tube c led by the medicine, the disease was re nun ed • Gout. A number of cases of gout have been cured by this preparation. In one of these cases, the man had been afflicted with it so sever, !y ftr thirtceri rears as to entirely disable him from business, ami for live months immediately previous to hi- taking the Alterative he. had been confined to his room; but before lie had finished the third bottle, lie was enabled to walk about the streets afid soon after re turned to his business, from which lie had to long been excluded by his afflictions. Dropsical Swellings, Thismedicine increases the powers of digestion, excites the absorbents into healthy exercise, by which watery or calcareous depositions, ami all unnatural enlargements are reduced. It imparts rum and vitality to the whole system, removing nek and morbid headaches, giddiness, wandering pains and nervous affections. [ii fact, in every case where the inedicina has been taken for smite time, no matter for wh t pur pose, the general health of the patient has always been improved oy it. In conclusion, tlm proprietor would say that some of the most astonishing cases of skin diseases, can cer. bronchoceie, and scrofula, have been cured t>y this medicine, that have ever been recorded; hut want of room in this sheet precludes their pubiica ion at this time. CANCER. An interesting case cured by Jayne's Alterative. in the spring of JB3L a cancerous tumor appear edit! the right breast of Mrs. i’hcehe, wife of Peter Stretch, of Salem, K. J. It was examined by many Physicians, and was considered by all as cancerous, and besides bore all llie characteristic marks ot one. All probable means of removing it were med without the slightest benefit. It continued to in crease both in size and painfulncss, until all hope of saving her life, but by a painful operation, was abandoned, which, after a consultation of eminent Physician*, was performed, Jan. Ist, 1832. by Dr. John Rhea Barton, assisted by Dr. Redman, the proprietor, and twoothermedical gentlemen. The whole and entire right breast was remo ,r »-d, an I af ter examination of the tumor, was pronounced by all present a cancer of file most malignant charac ter. In about three months, after enduring incredi hie sufferings, she was enabled, though broken in spirit, to gel about again. She remained feeble, and her general health was exceedingly bad, as in deed it had been for several years before. In the spring of 1837, upwards of five year s after her breast had been removed, a painful tumor made its ap pearance on the right side, immediately over the v«rt formerly occupied by the nipple of the right breast, previous to its removal. This ttnnursteadi lv increased for several months, and became so painful as to deprived her of r»-st. The glands un der the right arm were enlarged; and setrrhus, and a hard, irregular, and at times painful tumour, ap peared in the left bre rut. No operation could now urrest the disease- Indeed her w hole body appear ed to be a mass ofdisea.se. Her case was consid ered hopeless, She wasof a verv scrofulous habit, both her parents having died of Pulmonary con sumption. The experiment was now made with tins Alterative. It was at first given in small doses, three times a day, and the doses very gradu ally, but steadily increased daily, as long as she took it, which was about six months, and the skin ever and around the tumour uasAt night and morning with a strong solution of Twline and Hy ririodate Potash. The rumour continued increas ing in size for about six weeks, and was at times verv painful, w hen the pain suddenly ceased alto gether, and the tumour swelled out at the base.and became soft, and then began to diminish, and con tinued gradually decreasing until every vestige of disea«e was removed. The tumour in her left breast, and those in her right axilla were also dis persed. No cancerous or scrofulous tumours ever appeared afterwards; and hergeneral health, winch 1 ad been so bad for fourteen years as to make life a burthen, was effectually and penuaneptly restored. The proprietor is in possession of the diseased breast, and those who choose may examine it. He would also say that he could mention over a dozen rases ecpially interesting, wherein his Alterative has subdued cancer and cancerous tumours, but he has not room hereto record them. Mrs. Sarah Young, of Quinton’s Bridge, N. J , bad a gwitrous tumour on the left side of her wind pipe, as large as the half of an orange, which was cured by using this Alterative for about lour months. Mira R S .South Fourth-street, Phila delphia, was also cured of an enlargement of the throat, which filled the entire space between the chin and breast-bone, and extended around on each side of her neck to behind Iter ears, and from her ears to her shoulders, and produced awful de forrnity. It commenced growing when she was but five years old. and continued gradually to in crease until she was nineteen, at which tune she commenced using this Alterative, which she took for seven months, which entirely reduced the en largement; and she has now as smooth and pretty a neck as can be found. The proprietor is not at -iberty to give her name in print, but will refer per s o* to her Fi r rale by VV M K KITCHEN, 28 iy 2 Sole Ag*ntfor Georgia. ] NOTICE TO COTTON PLANTERS. | ) sf H L say to f bc cotton planters of Georgia and j i JL South • arotma. i h*ve taken the sltopfortr.- i eriy occupied by o.
