Vh ■Whole and entire right breast was retno-H, and li ter examination of the tumor, was pi o , all present a cancer of the most malignant charac ter. In about three months, afte#endunng incivni ble sufferings, she was enabled, though broken in spirit, to get about again. 6he remained feeble, and her general health was exceedingly bad, as in deed it had been for several beioit. In the spring of 1837, upwards of five years « ft«; . trio ; i bad been removed, a painful tumor made n - an pearaace on the right side, immediately m.T j»art formerly occupied by the nipprPof the right breast, previous toils removal. This tumor steadi ly increased for several months, and b-can.e so painful as to deprived her of rest. The glan i - mi yjerthe right arm were enlarged; and scirrhus. and a hard, irregular, and at times painful timiut r. ap peared in the left breast. No operation emiM now arrest the disease. Indeed her whole body appear ed to be a mass of disease. Her case was .-oo>id ered hopeless. IShe was of a very scrofulous haim. both her parents having died of Pulmonary con sumption. The experiment was now made with ibis Alterative, it was ul first given i i sm.ili «loses, three times a day. and the doses very gradu ally, but steadily increased daily, as long as she took it, which was about six months, and the skin over and around me tumour was wet night and morning with a strong solution of lodine and Hy driodale Potash. The tumour in her left breast, and those in her right axilla were also d.s persed. No cancerous or scrofulous tumours ever appeared afterwards; and her general heabh, winch had been so bad for fourteen years as to make life it burthen, was effecruoHy and permanently restored. The proprietor is in possession of the diseased breast, and those who choose may examineit. lie would also say that he could mention over a dozen cases ecpially interesting, wherein his Alterative has subdued cancer and oanceroustumours, but he has not room hereto record them. *- Mrs, Sarah Young, of Quinton's Bridge, N. Miss R S , South Fourth-street, Phila delphia, was also cured of an enlargement of the throat, which filled the entire spaee between the „chin and hreast-bonc, and extended around on each side of her neck to behind her ears, and from her ears to her shoulders, and produced awful d.- ...fortuity. It commenced growing when she was but five years old, and continued gradually to in crease until she was nineteen, g,i which time she commenced usingthis Alterative, which she took for seven months, which entirely reduced the en largement; acd she has now as smooth ami prettv a neck as can be found.
