Not a solitary case of failure. All were cured. The success he has met with in curing broncho eclc and cancerous aflections lias coni inced him that these dangerous and horrible diseases may be removed with as much certainty as Fever and Ague. He does not wish to be understood as say ’ inir that they can be cured as soon as Fever and ; Ague, but with as much certainty; and further, that he has <rood reason for believing that this prepara- j ,tion will not only cure these diseases when formed, but that it destroys the virus nr poisonous principle lurking in the system, from which that peculiar class of diseases, as well as that of scrofula emanate Sorofula —King’s Evil. This preparation has been used in numerous rases of scrofula, King’s Evil, and scrofulous swell ings, and always with the most decided success. Skin Diseases. Can-i3r, An interest’llg rase cured iy Jaynes Alterative. In the sp ing of 1331. a c incero is tumor appear ed in the ri ht breast of M s. Bh ehe. wifi* of •Stretch, of Salem N. J. It was examined by many Physicians, and was considered by alt as cancerous, and besides bore all me characteristic marks ni one. All pr >.cable means of removing it were useu without the slightest benefit. It continued to in crease both in size and painfulness, until all hope of saving h r life, but by a painful operation, wa abandoned, w iich, as era consultation of eminen l Pays et-aas, was performed, Jan. Ist, 1332, by Dr. John Rhea Barton, assisted by Dr. Redman, the p o »rietor.*uid two other medical gentlemen. The w.iole a id entire right breast was removed, and af ter examination of the tumor, was pronounced In ail present a cancer of the most malignant charac ter. In about 1 hree months, after enduring incredi ble sufferings, she was enabled, though broken h spirit, to get about again. She remained feeble and her general health was exceedingly bad, as in deed it had been for several years before. In tin spring of 1337. upwards of five years after her breas had been removed, a painful tumor made its ap pearancc on the right side, immediately over the part formerly occupied by the nipple of the righ breast, previous to its removal. This tumor steadi ly increased for several months, and became sr painful as to deprive her of rest. The glands un der the right arm were enlarged; and scirrhns, and ahard, irregular, and at times painful tumour, ap peared in the left breast. No operation could now arrest the disease. Indeed her whole body appear td to be a mass of disease. Her case was consid ered hopeless. She was of a very scrofulous habit eoth her parents having died of Pulmonary con hamption. The experiment was now made with shis Alterative. It was at first given in small doses three times a day, and the doses very gradually but steadily increased daily, as long as she took it which wps about six months, and the skin over and around the tumour was wet night and morning with a strong solution of lodine and Hydriodate Potash. The tumour continued increasing in size for about six weeks, and was at times very painful, when the pain suddenly ceased altogether, and the tumour swelled out at the base, and became soft, and then began to diminish, and continued gradually decreas ing until every vestige of disease was removed.— The tumour in her left breast, and those in her right exilla were also dispersed. No cancerous or scrofulous tumours over appeared afterwards; an-* her general health, which had been so bad for four teen years as to make life a burthen, was effectu ally and permanently restored. The proprietor is in possession of the diseased breast, and those win choose may examine it. He would also say tha* he could mention over a dozen eases equally inter esting, wherein his Alterative has subdued cancer and cancerous tumours, hut lie has not room here to record them. Mrs. Sarah Young, of Quinton’s Bridge, N. J., had a goitrous tumour on the left side of her windpipe, as large as the half of an orange, which was cured by using this Alterative for about four months. Miss R :S , South Fourth-street, Phila delphia, was also cured of an enlargement of the throat, which filled the entire space between the chin and hreast-hone, and extended around on each side of her neck to behind her ears, aqd from her ears to her shoulders, and produced awful deformi ty. It commenced growing when she was bi t five years old. and continued gradually to increase nn jtil she was nineteen, at which time she commenced using this Alterative, which she took fop seven months, which entirely reduced the enlargement; and she has now as smoilli and pretty u neck as can be found. The proprietor is not at liberty to give her name in print, but will refer persons to her. For sale by WM. K. KITCHEN, sep 28 ly 2 Sole Agent for Georgia. BRTT9HE9. EVERY variety of Hair. Tooth, Hat. UUST those he who have Pulmonary Consump tion. or any affection ot the Lungs, Liver or Test, after reading the following letter, just re- I ceived from a most respectable inhabitant of West i Chester County New York. Tahrvtowv, Aug. 9,1814. j Dear Doctor—lt is difficult to find words to ex ; press the gratitude which 1 feel towards von for i ihe interest you have taken to relieve me in mv i I.stress. In the year 1842 I contracted a heavi j cold, which finally settled on mv lungs; in a few ; nonths after, 1 commenced coughing and raising | iffensive matter, which smelt very bad. Having leard that Sherman’s Lozenges were good for a j coughs 1 tried a few boxes of them, but they had ! lot the least effect on me. I then called in the best physicians in the place, who attended me a ew months, but without success; 1 then saw an ad vertisement in one of the city papers of Wistar’s lalsam of Wild Che rry, of which I purchased three bottles, at the corner of Fulton and Nassau streets, but 1 could not perceive, the least beneficial effect : Vom it, on the contrary I lliink it was a great in j jury to me. Shortly after using it, I commenced raising blood in large quantities; I was taken down sick and confined to the house for three months, luring which time I lost my appetite and fell away very fast; J was then induced to consult Dr. Curtis if New York, (one of the best physicians in the ; city,) but he could do me no good. 1 again became I worse, and was confined to the house all last winter and spring, and I gave up all hope of ever getting any better, as I again raised blood and my cough was very severe, together with a pain in my breast and under the shoulder blade. My friends now gave np all hope of my recovering, and thought every day was the last. About this time 1 heard if your BALSAM OF LIVERWORT being good for consumption, but 1 was like many others, and j w r as fearful that it might he a regular humbug; 1 I however finally consented to try it, as 1 thought it 1 could make me no worse. My brother then pur. i chsed a bottle of it at 375 Bowery, N. Y., and ! commenced taking it, and by the time I had used one bottle full 1 could sleep all night, and in the I morning I had an appetite for my breakfast. 1 still j keep on taking it and find great benefit from if—the pain in my breast is entirely gone, and I raise no i more blood. Within the last two months I have j rained in ivoight six pounds and much in strength. I would therefore, advise all who have any affec tion of the Lungs or Liver to try the Genuine Dr. Taylor’s Balsam of Liverwort, for I truly believe it to be the best remedy in existence for diseases of the Lungs or Liver. Should any one doubt the above statement relative to your valuable medicine, let him call on me, and I will convince him of its virtues. Yours, respectfully, DE REVERE. GA LV A NIC RINGS AN D Magnetic Fluid, | LIT HIS remarkable invention, which has received J. the almost universal approbation of the Medi cal Profession of Great Britain, comprises an en- , tirely new application of Galvanism, as a remedial 1 agent, by means of which the ordinary Galvanic j Batteries, Electric and Magnetic Machines, &c., j are entirely dispensed with. and the mysterious 1 powers of Galvanism applied without any of the objections which are inseparable from the general mode now in use. The strong doses, and at irreg- , ular internals, in which Galvanism is applied by the Machines, lias been pronounced after a fair and im- ' partial trial, to be decidedly injurious, and it was to ; remedy this radical delect, that this new applica- j tion was projected, which after unceasing toil and ! perseverance has been brought to its present state ‘ of perfection. The Galvanic Rings answer all the j purposes of the most expensive Machines, and in ; i many other respects are more safe and certain in ! accomplishing toe desired effect. The Galvanic Rings, used in connection with the j Magnetic Fluid, are confidently recommended in | all disorders which arise from an enfeebled or un- j | healthy state of the nervous or vital system , and those ; complaints are among the most painful and univer ; sal to which we arc subject. They arise, without exception, to one single cause—a derangement 6V the Nervous system—and it was in these cases that other “ remedies ” having so often failed, a new | agent was greatly needed, which it is confidently believed, has been found in the proper and judi cious application of Galvanism. The Galvanic Rings have been used with entire 1 success in all cases of Rheumatism , acute or chronic, ! applying to the, head, face or limbs : Gout, Tic- Doloreux , Toothache , Bronchitis, Vertigo, Nen'ous or Sick Headache, Indigestion, Paralyses, Palsy, , Epilepsy, Fits, Cramp, Palpitation of the Heart, Ap pop/evij. Stiffness of Joints, Spinal Complaints, I.uni- \ Infra. Neuralgia, Nenroi'S Tremors Dizziness of the Head. Pains in the Chest and. Sid', General tfehil iti/, Deficiency of Nervous and Physical Energy, and all Nervous Disorders. In cases of confirmed Dys pepsia, which is simply a nervous derangement of j the digestive organs, they have been found equally i successful. Their extraordinary effects upon the i system must he witnessed to be believed, and as a | certain Preventive for the preceding complaints i they are equally recommended. The Rings are of | different prices, being made of all sizes, and of va- j rious ornamental patterns, and car be worn by the | most delicate female without the slightest incon venience. In fact the sensation is rather agreea- i hie than otherwise. The Galvanic Belts, Bracelets, Bands, Garters, Necklaces, Ac. In some cases of a very severe character and of long standing the power as applied by the Galvanic Rings is not sufficient to arrest the progress of dis ease and ultimately to restore health. The improv ed modification in the Galvanic Betts, Bracelets, j Ac., entirely remedies this objection ; any degree of power that is required can readily be obtained, and no complaint which the mysterious agent of Galvanism can effect will fail to be permanently re lieved. These articles are adapted to tlie waist, arms, 1 wrists, limbs, ancles, or any part of the body with perfect convenience. The Galvanic Necklaces, are u>ed with greater benefit in cases of Bronchitis or affections of the throat generally ; also in cases of Nervous Deafness; and with almost uniform success as a preventive for Apoplexy, Epileptic Fits, and similar Complaints. CHRISTIE’S MAGNETIC FLUID. Is issued in connection with the Galvanic Rings, and all their modifications. This composition has been pronounced by the French Chemists to be ! one of the most extraordinary discoveries of mod ern science. If is believed to possess a remarkable power of rendering the Nerves sensitive to Galvanic action , by these means causing a circulation of the { influence at the seat of disease, and thus giving ra pid and permanent relief. No Wher composition in chemistry is known to produce ihe same effect or to impart a similar property to tine nervous system bv means of an outward Ideal application. The Magnetic Fluid contains mtthing Capable of the i slightest injury, its application i; agreeable, and it is as harmless in its .action as il is beneficial in its result. The combined inventions ftffe ?n everyway perfectly harmless; they are at prices within Cteach of all, and the discoverer only requests a fair trial, 1 as a test of their surprising efficacy and permanent benefit. i Christie's Galvanic Strengthening Plas ters. These articles form another valuable, application 1 and the mysterious influence of Galvanism. They . are too important adjuncts to the genuine Galvanic Rings and their modifications, acting upon the same principle, but having this advantage of more i local application. They are confidently recom mended as a valuable addition in the speedy cure of Rheumatism, acute or chronic; in all nervous complaints, and as a positive rentedv in cases ot Pain and Weakness in the Chest i>r Back, Pain in | the Side, Asthmatic Affections, and /.'• \\ eakness or Oppression of the Pulmonary Organs. In fepi : na) Complaints, their effects are of the most decided i character, and they have often been used with I complete success. They are also of the greatest 1 advantage in Pains and Weakness of the Breast, and are highly recommended for many of those complaints to which females art especially liable, i As an effectual means for Strengthening the sys tem when debilitated by disease or other causes; as a certain aid in Constitutional Weakness, as a Preventive for Colds, and in all affections of the Chest, generally, the Galvanic Strengthening Plas | ter, will be found of great and permanent advantage. In a few words, it embraces ail the virtues of the best tonic preparation with the important addition of the Galvanic influence, which is neither impair ed or exhausted, while the action continues. These , articles will be found entirely free from those oh : jeetions which are a constant source of complaint with the ordinary Plasters in common nse. lUUThe great celebrity and success of these ar ticles have caused them to he counterfeited by un principled persons. I N offering this valuable medicine to the people . of Georgia, for the relief and cure of many dis eases incident to a Southern climate, 1 do not claim for it infallibility; neither do 1 say it will cure all ! diseases. But in Chronic Liver Affections and Dyspepsia, I can confidently advise and recom mend its use. from my personal observation and use of the article in my own practice. This article is favorably received wherever it has been used. I am allowed to refer to Mr. George Heard of Troup. Mr. John Warren of Columbus, Mr. McKaffee of Cobb, Mr. Asbury Hull of Athens, Mr. William D. Terrell of Putnam, Rev. John E. Dawson of La grange; to which a great number of names might be added, who hear their testimony to its value.— Dr. Henry Branham has used this medicine in his i own case, and has pre.-crihed it to many others, i gives it as his opinion, that it is one of the safest and most valuable medicines that can he used in ! imperfect digestion, liver complaints, constipation 1 and irregular state of the bowels. It is useful in billions complaints, to persons recovering from bil- | lions fevers, and in sick or nervous head-ache. To \ pregnant women, who are subject to costiveness, i this medicine is well suited. In regulating the state | of the stomach and bowels, and promoting digestion, 1 it is particularly useful. I could append a long list of certificates, hut for- ' 1 bear, prefering to rely on the virtues of the modi- 1 cine to sustain itself. The medicine is a gentle and i certain cathartic, tonic and sudorific. JOEL BRANHAM. Eatonton, Ga. Price Sl—For sale by A. G. WILLIS, i March 11 t.t] VEGETABLE UNIVERSAL PILLS, THE startling drawback on nearly all Medicinal Agents has ever been that in their process of pur gation and purification, they have also Debilitated the System. Hence Purgative Medicines have al ways been regarded as at best but a Necessary Evil; Patients resorting to thorn for the relief of one disease at the expense of another. To obviate i this. Physicians have long sought for an Agent that | would at the same time i PURGE PURIFY AND STRENGTHEN. But their efforts were nearly fruitless, and they i had almost despaired of success when the labors ot I science and research, were rewarded by a discov -1 cry which fully realized the fondest desires of the SJedicul Faculty, and which is justly regarded as one iff the most important Triumphs that Pharmacy has ever achieved. This important desideratum is j named Dr. Lc Roy’s Vegetable Universal Pills. Which Parijn the Blood, and remove all corrupt | and vitiated humors, and unhealthy accumulations from ! the body in a manner never before rivalled, and j which yet produce no weakness or lassitude what- j ever, but on the contrarv, tone the Stomach, and i invigorate the constitution during th<* progress ot 1 their operation. Dr. Le Roy’s Pills, in fact, unite ; those heretofore irreconcilable, but most desirable qualities, Evacuation and Inri"oration, for they aT’c at the same time aSTRENGTHENING PURGA- : FIVE, AND A PURIFYING TONIC. The two paincipal ingredients in Dr. Lc Roy’s , Pills are WILD CHERRY & SARSAPARILLA. So prepared that each promotes the beneficial ef fect of the other, the former strengthening, while the latter, through its union with various vegetable ingredients, evacuates and purifies; thus they su perinduce no torpidity or lassitude of the the Diges tive Functions, and hence their operations are at tended by no Re-action or Subsequent Costiveness. Dr. Le Roy’s Pills are the most active and search ing Medicine in existence. They at once attack : the very root of Diseases, and their action is so prompt that in an hour or two after they are taken, i the patient is aware of their good effects. They not only operate on the Blood, but also on the chyle, I of which the Blood is formed, and this secures good blood from the fountain head, moreover, they pro duce neither nausea, griping or debility, and as a family medicine they have no rival.
