GRISWOLD’S IMPROVED COTTON
GINS.
THE subscriber will continue the manufacture
of GINS on his usual extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
customers tor their liberal patronage heretofore.—
1 he estimation in which his Gins are held may be
known from (he fact of his having sold more than
two thousand within the last three years; probably
t^ n to one over any other factory in the State.—
This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for, by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by year
ly adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
some were rather slow,'his third made them suffi
ciently fast, it then only remained to make them
more durable and convenient, which has been done
effectually, by several new improvements the pre
sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
State, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed’s Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to
be ten times more durable than any other, by those
who have made a fair trial of them, and are infalli
bly secure against fire by firiction. His fine Gins,
will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
can. His agents will visit planters generally’, and
exhibit specimens of his late improvements, aud
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
gage, and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, w ill
be delivered at the purchaser’s lesidence in an*
part of the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot,
most convenient to the purchaser. All warranted
to perform well if used according to the printed
directions sent with each.

The undersigned is fully prepared to establish a
GRAEFENBERG DEPOT in all places of pro
per size in South Carolina and Georgia. Immedi
ate application should be made, personally or by
letter to Georg© Brainerd. agent, care oi Nelson
Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As there will
ordinarily be but one Depot in a town or village,
the agency will be very valuable.
The celebrated Medicines of the GRAEFc*N*
BERG COMPANY are rapidly and completely
superseding all others. \Vhere once introduced,
no one thinks of using any others. 'l’heir charac
ter is best explained bv the fact that 7 HiRTi
THOUSAND BOXES OF THEIR PILLS A
LONE, ARE SOLD EACH AND EVER*
WEEK.
Certificates upon certificates from all parts
of the country are constantly received, testifying
to their wonderful powers. Their efficacy is al
most immediately felt, so that a single box will
show the invalid w hether they are or are
him good. The sick should at once abandon all
other medicines and give these Pills a fair trial.
The operations of the Company throughout the
world are ot unprecedented magnitude, the high
and commanding character of which has received
the uuqaliried approbation of distinguished Clergy
men, Jurists, Philanthropists, and the public gene
rally. The Patent Medicine business is assuming

Surprising Efficacy*
MY EAU DIVINE DE VENUS and NYMPH
SOAP, composed of an Eastern Botanical dis
covery of surprising efficacy, for rendering the
Skin soft and fair, as well as imparting a delicate
roseate hue to the complexion.
As a creator and conservator of that most distin
guishing charm of female loveliness, a transparent
fair skin, Jules Hauel’s Nymph Soap of Eau Divine
De Venus may be said to exert an almost magical
power. Composed for the most part ot Oriental
Balsamic Plants, to the utter exclusion of all mine
ral admixture, it is distinguished medicinally for its
extremely bland, purifying and soothing action on
the skin; and by acting on the pores and minute se
cretory vessels, expels all impurities from the sur
face, allays every tendency to imflammation, and
by this method aione, effectr.ally dissipates all red
ness, tan, prinples, freckles, sunburn and other un
sightful cutaneous visitations, so inimical to female
lovliness. Its use will change the most bilious com
plexion into one of radiant whiteuesv; while on the
neck, hands aud arms it bestows a delicacy and
fairness which its continued use will happily pro
tect, and every appearance of youthful charm, to
the most advanced period of life. For sale, whole
