GRISWOLD’S IMPROVED COTTON
GINS.
THE subscriber will continue the manufacture
ot GINS on his usual extensive scale; and
embraces this opportunity to thank his numerous
customers tor their liberal patronage heretofore.—
The estimation in which his Gins are held may be
known from the fact of his having sold more than
two thousand within the last three years; probably
ten to one over any other factory in the State.—
This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is ac
counted for, by his being the first to introduce the
late improvements, and keeping the lead, by
ly adding new ones. His first and second improve
ments, made the quality of cotton perfect, though
some were rather slow, his third made them suffi
ciently fast, it then only remained to make them
more durable and convenient, which has been done
effectually, by several new improvements the pre
sent year; besides, he has the exclusive right of the
State, and the privilege of other sections, to furnish
Reed’s Patent \V ater Boxes, which are believed to
be ten limes more durable than any other, bv those
who have made a fair trial of them, and are infalli
bly secure against fire by firiction. His fine Gins,
will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any Saw Gin
can. 11 is agents will visit planters generally, and
exhibit specimens of his late improvements, and
point out their advantages, in time, for all to en
gage, and be supplied before next ginning season,
or, engagements can be made by letter, directed to
him at Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins, will
be delivered at the purchaser’s residence in an*
part of the State, except the Cherokee counties
where they will be left at the Rail Road depot, !
most convenient to the purchaser. AH warranted !
to perform well if used according to the printed
1 directions sent with each.

letter to George Brainerd. agent, care ot Nelson
Carter, opposite Charleston Hotel. As there will
ordinarily be but one Depot in a town or village,
the agency will be very valuable.
The celebrated Medicines ot the GRAEI* LN* j
BERG COMPANY are rapidly and completely
superseding all others. W here once introduced,
no olie thinks of using any others. Their charac
ter is best explained by the fact that THIRTY
THOUSAND BOXES OF THEIR PILLS A
LONK, ARE SOLD EACH AND EVERY
WEEK.
Certificates upon certificates from all parts
of the country are constantly received, testifying
to their wonderful powers. Their efficacy is al
most immediately felt, so that a single box will
show the invalid whether they are or are doing
him good. The sick should at once abandon all
other medicines and give these Pills a fair trial.
The operations of the Company throughout the
world : re of unprecedented magnitude, the high
and commanding character of which has received
the unqalified approbation of distinguished Clergy
men, Jurists, Plidaathropists, and the public gene
rally. The Patent Medicine business is assuming
an entirely new position through the Graefenberg
Company. Almost every family in the land ha>
occasion to use some kind of patent medicine, and
an organization like that of this Company is of
paramount public importance. By this means re
liable medicines may be h d.

Surprising Efficacy.
MV EAU DIVINE DE VENUS and NYMPH
SOAP, composed of an Eastern Botanical dis
covery of surprising efficacy, for rendering the
Skin soft and fair, as well as imparting a delicate
roseate hue to the complexion.
As a creator and conservator of that most distin
guishing charm of female loveliness, a transparent
fair skin, Jules Hauel’s Nymph Soap of Eau Divine
De Venus may be said to exert an almost magical
Eower. Composed for the most part of Oriental
Salsamic Plants, to the utter exclusion of all mine

the skin; and by acting on the pores and minute se
cretory vessels, expels all impurities from the sur
face, allays every tendency to imflamrnation, and
by tins method alone, effectually dissipates ail red
ness. tan, prinples. freckles, sunburn and other un
sightful cutaneous visitations, so inimical to female
lovliness. Its use will change the most bilious com
