AUGUST A, GEORGIA. WEDNESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 1, 1851.
( From the Georgia Telegraph.)
IT is a well known fact lhat children, particular
ly during the winter and spring seasons, are
very subject to Coughs, Cold, antiinflammatory
Fever, Croup, 4*c., which tan be cured sooner
andtnore effectually by Dr. LITTLES Anodyne
Cough Drops, than by any other remedy. Many
of these affections, as well as a great variety of
others, are produced by worms, or the irritation
produced by them, when Little's Vermlfnge is to
be given. With these two medicines, which any
family can give with impunity, all such cases can
be cured sooner than by any other course.
It has become quite a common saying with those
who have used them, that these preparations have
saved them a doctor’s bill. Those who doubt the
efficiency of these medicines without having tried
Mena, are to be pitted for their ignorance.
Dr. Gorman, who w r as long a member of the Me
dical Board of Georgia, writes thus :
Macon, Nov. 1, 1848.
Dr. G• W. Little —JSir : Concerning your Phar
maceutical Medicines, as you ask my opiniou, I
will state that I have seen and know enough of
your Coogh Drops to say, that they are the very
best 1 ever knew. However violent or deep-seat
ed coughs and irritations of the lungs may be my
experience is, that this remedy will effectually
con rol or cure them in a very short time.
I find your Vermifuge to fully answer the pur
pose, in relieving children of worms without any
thing else to follow. It would be very advanta
geous for families to use frequently on mere sus
picion that worms exist.
From your long experience in the practice of
Medicine, and extensive engagement in the Drug
business, I doubt not but all your compound medi
cines (Pharmaceuticals) are in advance of any
thing offered to the public. Yours,&c.,
THOS. B. GORMAN, M. D.
Col. Dean’s Statement.
Macon, Jan. 1849.
*Dr. Little— Sir : Your Anodyne Cough Drops
I find to be a most excelled medicine. A case of
several wetlks standing of a most violent cough
and pain in the breast, th eateningto be of a seri
ous character, was entire y cured by the use of
one bottle—previously, every other thing had fail
ed. Within a month or two past, several other
cases have occuried in my family, some of which
were very severe attacks of coughs and colds of
the season, which this remedy promptly relieved.
Your Vermifuge in a number of cases we have
given, and could really wish for nothing better, as
it fully answered the purpose without anything
else.
Medicines, when prepared by a regular phyci
cian, like yourself, are expected to be good ; but
seldom or never have I seen any so efficient, or
more certain to be relied on than your Cough
Diops and Vermifuge. Truly, yours, &c.

1 feel constrained from a sense of duty to make
the following statement, conscious that it may aps

for which I had been treating with less than usual
success. At his request, and that of his friends, I
permitted him to try Dr. Rogers’ Liverwort and

ELECTRIC WASHING FLUID, %
For washing in hard or soft water.
r|pHlS is the only genuine article to be found

common sized washing may be done with one gill
of this Flmtk in less than two hours. It softens
and removes the dirt, leaving the articles of the
most brilliant ryhiteness. It being as harmless in
its operations as pure water, and clothing will
wear mueh longer than when i übbed to pieces by
the common method of washing.
This Fluid is a powerful agent, to be used in all
cases wheie soap is required, particular'y for
cleansing milk utensils, cleaning windows and

Os all remedies yet discovered for he above
complaints, this is the most certain.
It makes a speedy and permanent cure, without
the least restriction to diet, drink, exposure, or
change in application to business.
We give no long quackish recommendations to
deceive the public. If the medieine docs not
speak for itself, no one shall speak for it. Our object
is to notify where it can be had, and the proprietor
challenges a single case of recent disease to be
brought in which the Mixture will not effect a
rapid care, under a forfeiture of #SOO.
This is a disease that unfortunately pervades
ranks of society—high, low, rich and poor, matri
moniaiand single. They are here possessed with
a remedy by which they can cure themselves
without the least exposure in the shortest time
possible.
It is put up in bottles with full directions ac
