£ naii Uu.nn, all ot Burke county.
DIED,
On the 1 OIU instant, near Buckhcad, in Morgan
county, Dudley Emerson, son of John Emerson,
Esq , in the eleventh year of his age.
It is not unusual for friends to indulge in useless
nnd hyperbolical eulogies of their deceased friends.
'Candor, however, compels the writer ol this hrict
notice to say, that, the deceased was a youth of great
sprightliness of mind, nnd unusually amiable. To
know him was to love him lie has- been prema
turely cut oil’ from the world, his friends nnd af
flicted parents and relatives.
His disease (typhus fever) was long and painful ,
and he hore it with more than Christian forbearance.
