JAYNE’S INDIAN EXPECTORANT,
18 recommended as decidedly superior to any other
known combination of medicine, for Coughs,
Colds, Influenza, Consumption, AslhrwifJ spitting of
blood, Angima Pectoris —Palpitation of the heart.
Bronchitis—Chronic Pleurisy, Hoarseness, Difficulty
of Breathing, Hooping Cough, I’ains and Weakness
of the Breast, and all disease! of the Pulmonary
Organs.
'This medicine is highly and justly recommended,
by numerous and respectable individuals, who have
found relief from its use. Many who have been
laboring under protracted Coughs and Pains in tins
, breast, and have been supposed by themselves and
their friends far advanced in Consumption, have
, been happily restored to perfect health by the use of
this valuable Expectorant.
The Her. C. C. 7’. Crosby , late Agent of the Ameri
i can Uaptisl, writes as follows :
i New Yoiik, June lb, 1835,
To Dr. Jayne. —Dear Sir, —1 have marie use of the
i Indian Expectorant, personally and in my family, for
the last six years, with great benefit. Indeed 1 may
consider my life prolonged by the use of this valua
ble medicine, under the blessing of God, for several
• years. 1 may say almost as much in the case of my
s wife, and also of the Rev. Mr. Tinson, of the Island
, of Jamaica. For all eases of cough, inflammation
of the chest, lungs and throat, 1 do most unhesita
• 1 lingty recommend this as the best medicine 1 have
1 ever tried. My earnest wish Is, that others afflicted
_ 1 as 1 have been, may experience the same relief,
which 1 am persuaded they will, by using the Indian
d Expectorant. C. C, P. CROSBY.
;« N. B.—Many of my neighbors, on my recommen
dation, have tried this medicine with uniform sue
•» cess. (Mr. Crosby’s present residence is near Eliza
bethtown, N. J.)
I hereby certify that I was cured of a violent
le cough and pain in my breast by using Dr. Jayne’s
expectorant medicine. My wife also was atllieted
with a bad cough and pain in her breast, attended
A with so much difficulty of breathing as to prevent
her from getting any sleep for a number of nights in
u succession ; hut by taking two doses of this medi
cine she was enabled to sleep quietly through the
night, and in a few days, by continuing its use, she
e was perfectly cured. JACOB RIDGEWAY.
Hancock’s Bridge, N. J., Sept. 24, 1838.
I
Last spring my wife was confined to her bed by a
distressing cough and pain in her breast and side.—
Her cough barrassed her day and night, and her diffi
| eulty of breathing was so great that she got verv
little sleep for many days and nights together. None
* of the medicines she took appeared to be of any ser
vice to her, until Dr. Jayne kindly sent her a bottle
of Indian Expectorant, which completely restored
her to health. She firmly believes it is the best
medicine ever discovered. WM. POULBON.
Hancock’s Bridge, N. J., Nov. 21, 1838.
Copy rs a letter from the Be v. Simeon Siegfried ,•
pastor of the Baptist Church at Boxborough, near
Philadelphia.
Dr. D. Jayne. —Dear Sir, —You will probably re
i collect that about two months since, I called upon
you and procured a bottle of your Indian Expet to
rant, stating that 1 was then troubled with an invet
erate hoarseness and cold of three months standing,
for which no medicine that 1 had tried afforded any
relief. 1 deem it due to you and to the Expectorant
to inform you, that the use of that one bottle entirely
removed the complaint, and that I have had no return
of it since. From a fair rrial of this medicine, and
also of your Carminative Balsam, in my own family,
and under my observation, 1 confidently recommend
both to tlie afflicted. Yours truly,
8. SIEGFRIED.
Philadelphia, July IMA, 1837.
Dr. Jayne. —Dear Sir, —Labouring under Pulmo
nary Affections for the last live years, and being
troubled recently with a severe cough, attended with
frequent attacks of hemorrhage, I was persuaded to
buy your Indian Expectorant, after I had resorted in
vain to the best medical aid of this city. Before I
had taken two bottles, 1 am htfppy to say that the
cough entirely left me, together with the hemorr
hage. I make this statement under the impression
that it is a duty which I owe to my fellow sufferers,
and as an expression of my sincere gratitude to you
for your invaluable medicine. Very respectfully
J. E. MOORE, Dentist, 10 S. Eifth-St!
Philadelphia, March 30, 1838.
DR. D. JAYNE’S CARMINATIVE BALSAM
is a certain, safe and effectual remedy for Dysentery’
Diarrhoea, or Looseness, Cholera Morbus, Summer
Complaint, Cholic, Griping Pains, Sour Stomach
Flatulency, (kc. &c., and all Spasmodic and Nervous*
Diseases, as Sick and Nervous Headache, Husteria
Cramp, &c. &c. ’
This is one of the most efficient, pleasant and safe
compositions ever offered to the public for the cure
of the various diseases of the stomach and bowels
and the only article worthy of the least confidence
for curing Cholera Infantum or Summer Complaint •
and in all the above cases it really acts like a charm!
The highest testimonials have been received of the
great variety and number of important cures it has
effected—by persons, too, of the first respectability
who have too much intelligence to be imposed upon
themselves, and too much honesty to lend the influ
ence of their names for the purpose of imposing upon
others. “ *
B Aim mode, March 27th,*1838
Dr. Jayne.— Dear Sir,—You ask me what proofs I
meet with of the efficacy of your medicine, liw
safely say that 1 never prescribed a medtcTnefor
Bowel Complaints that lias given me so much satis
faction, and my patients so speedy and perfect relief
as Ibis. Whenever introduced into a familv it fe
comes a standing remedy for those ailments' ’and is
.■ailed lor again and again, which I think a pretty
good proof of ps efficacy and usefulness. In the
Summer Complaint of children it has fceouenrlv ao
peared to snat h the little victims, as it were, from
the grave. “I have saved the life of my child, and
of such and such a child,” I have repeatedly heard
said. In dysenteric affections of adults, I have tune
and again seen it act like a charm, and give iy>rraa
, oent relief in a few hours, I may say in V few
j minutes. In fine, it is a valuable medicine ani no
family ahould.be without it. Respectfully,
M. L jr. i>.
