The principles which shall gov* rn the conduct
of the new Journal, will he the same its predeces
sors have sustained —opposed to I’oi ons, animal,
mineral, and vegetible—bleeding, blistering, and

ication—we shall, from time to time, exhibit the
fallacy and danger of the baleful means so ofC n
employed in the “ heroic” practice of medicine —
means, which we believe, are antagonist to tic
laws of vitality, and in utter violation of one of tin

shal. not forget the respect due to those who may

s talents arc liable to he deceived, hut their motives
