Dear Sir—ln the month of December, 1824, being
at St. Anvils, province of Upper Canada, 1 caught a
cold which soon settled into a favor j at the same
lime I had a most distressing cough, and a very se
vere pain in my left s>le. I applied to several emi
nent Physicians in Eewislown, Niagara co. who
treated mo for the Liver Complaint—but without
success. 1 grew worse every day, and 1 though J
should soon bo called to appear before tho great ‘ J

In llto month of March, 1325,1 applied to skilful
Physicians in Oneida county, who treated me also
for the Liver Complaint, without any essential ben
efit. 1 wen’ afterwards to New York,in hopes that
change ol climate and diet mid new scenes might
possibly restore me lo beullb ; and indeed aslny of a
lew months there enabled me lo renew my trade 1
was not. cured, however, lor from the time I was
sick, until very lately, I was often distressed hy a
pain in my left side, want of appetite, indigestion,
und a general d.preasion of spirits. Ea-t October J
was induced lo lake “Dr. Roberts's Welch Mediea-
I mentum," prepared by yourself, and 1 f'-ol grateful
| that I era able to state that after having used one pint
snd a hall, the pain in my side has entirely subsided."
1 have regained my appetite, and my general health
has been so lar restored that I tune not felt so well
as I do now within the lust tight years.

lo make my ease generally known. 1 hope that
thousands through the United .Stales, who are now
as much afflicted as f have been, will ho induced to
make a trial of your medicine, convinced that they
