Dr. Marchisi— Dear Sir—ln lbs month of December, 1824, being at St. Anvils, province of Upper Canada, 1 caught a cold which soon settled into a fever ; at the same time I had a most distressing cough, and a very se vere painlin my left side. I applied to several emi nent Physicians in Lewistovvn, Niagara co. who treated me for the Liver Complaint—but without sucecss. 1 grew worse every day, and I thought I should soon be called lo appear before the great‘T AM.” In the month of March, 1825,1 applied to skilful Physicians in Oneida county, who treated me also fbrllto Liver Complaint, without any essential ben efit. I went afterwards lo New Vork, in hopes that change ot climate and diet and new scones might possibly restore me lo health; and indeed a stay of n few months there enabled mo to renew my trade. I was not cured, however, lor from the time I was sick, until very lately, I was often, distressed by a • pin in ttty left side, want of appetite, indigestion, and a aeftoral dzprossion of spirits.
