he quiet, unless we except a skirmish between a
company of Georgia volunteers and a gang of
Indians, which look place on thoSovyannee some
days since in which one Indian was killed and
two wounded. Wo have not hoard the partic
ulars.
Information was received soap? days since
from Fort King, that a gang us Indians, seven
teen in number, had gone there. They visit t eir
friends the Creeks, Ireely, and siy they have
sirictorders not lo molest any ol the whiles, or
commit any depredation upon Iheir properly.
I'hey state, that when Gen. Jesup rode up from
Tampa to fort King, he passed within twenty
paces of them.
