i s shown by the statements of the Board of Health of
VXew York, caused the death of 76 persons out of 611
«tlis in one week and 131 deaths by consumption indu-
d by Dyspepsia. Ab it is a well attested fact that Dys-
! r ipeia is the origin of the sufferings of a large portion of
u ose who die of consumption, it becomes the duty of ev
eryone to use such precautions against and remedy for
r r'gpcpsia, as science and experience have placed before
cm, and which have proved to bo efficacious ; of this
larwcter is “Dr, Williams’ Anti-Dyspeptic Elixir,” in
rzoboratkra of which, read the following testimonials :

the efficacy of Williams’ Anti-Dyspeptic Elixir.

Sixth, corroborative to the efficacy of Williams’s Anti-
Cyspeptic Elixir.
Dr. James Williams.
Dear Sir:—It gives me great pleasure to know that you
are again preparing your medicine for the cure of Dys
pepsia, for many of my acquaintances have repeatedly
... , .asked me where it could be: procured, knowing thatl
berm‘CHIOS, I bad been cured by it. As I think that a public acknowl-

they will be forwarded bv use of vour medicine is not only due to you, but may be
useful to others, 1 now make it. For several years I
suffered from Dyspepsia, which increased to such an ex
tent that my health and constitution were rapidly sinking
under it. I was compelled to restrict myself to the most
rimpie food, and even that 1 could not digest; I felt a loss
of strength, disinclination to exercise and (as you have it
in your advertisement) a general feeling of depression
and indescribable weariness. In the year 1838, hearing
lrom others high recommendation of your Anti-Dyspep-
i c Elixir, I procured and used it with the most happy ef
fect; under its inliuence, languor and weariness gradual
ly passed away, and my appetite returned, which I could
gratify with impunity. Ten years have now elapsed,
and my codfidence in the curative powers of your medi-
c ne has of course increased, for it completely cured me
\ hen I failed to obtain relief from any other source.
Very respectfully yours, ABNER ELMES.

It strengthens the system at'tUe same time that it poises
it; and when taken daily in moderate doses, will streugth-
cu aud build it up with unusual rapidity.
The liver is one of the principal regulators or the hu
man body ; and when it performs its fimetious well, the
powers of the system are fully developed. The stomach
is almost entirely dependant on the healthy action of the
Diver for the proper periopjaance of its functions; when
the stomach is at fault, the bowels are at fault, and the
whole sytem suffers in consequence of one organ—the
Liver—having ceased to do his duty. For the diseases ■
of that organ, one of the proprietors lias made it his study
in a practice of more than 20 years, to iind some remedy
wherewith to counteract the many derangements to
which it is liable.
To-prove that this remedy is at last found, any person
troubled with Liver Complaint, in any of its forms, has
but to try a bottle and conviction is certain.
These Gums remove all morbid or bail matter from the
system, supplying in their place a healthy flow of bile,
invigorating the stomach, causing food to digest well'
petrifying the Mood, giving tone and health to the whole
machinery, removing the cause of the disease—effecting
a radical cure.
Bilious attacks are cured, and, what is better, prevent
ed by the LIVER LXY1GORATOR.
One dose after eating is sufficient to relieve the stomach
and prevent the food from rising and souring.
Only one dose taken before retiring, prevents Xight-
mare.
Only one dose taken at night, loosens the bowels and
cures Cosliveness.
One dose taken idler each meal will cure Dyspepsia.
One dose or two tcaspoonfuls will always relieve Sick
Headache.
One bottle taken for female obstruction removes the
cause of the disease, and makes a perfect cure.
Only one dose immediately relieves Cholic, while one
dose often repeated is a sure cure for Cholera Morbus
and a preventative of Cholera.
Only one bottle is needed to throw out of the system
the effects of Medicine after a long sickness.
One bottle taken for Jaundice removes all sallowness
or unnatural color from the skin.
One dose taken a short time before eating gives vigor
to the appetite, aud makes food digest well.
One dose often repeated cures Diarrhoea in its worst
forms, while Summer and bowel complaints yield almost
to the Urst dose.
One or two doses cures attacks caused by Worms in
Children ; there is no surer, safer, or speedier remedy
in the world, as it never fails.
A few bottles cures Dropsy, by exciting the absorb
ents.
We take pleasure in. recommending this medicine as
a preventative for Ferer and Ague, Chills and Fevers,
aud all Fevers of a Bilious Type. It operates with cer
tainty, aud thousands are willing to testify to its won
derful virtues.
All who use it arc giving their unanimous testimony in
its favor.
Mix water in the mouth with the Invigorutor, aud swal
low both together.
THE LIVER IWIGORATOK
is a scientific medical discovery, and is daily working
cures, almost too great to believe. It cures as if by mag-
ig, even the first dose giving benefit, aud seldom more tliau
one bottle is required to cure any kind of Liver com
plaint, from the worst Jaundice or Dy/jtejtsia to a common
Headache, all of which are the result of a DISEASED
LI VER. Price one dollar per bottle.

C A M N E L COAL OIL.
FOR LUBRICATING MACHINERY.
T HE UNION COAL AND OIL COMPANY of Maysville,
Kentucky, have made the undersigned Agents' for the
sale of their Oils in this citj^nd region of country, oils
of a similiar quality to thei^^^avo for a long time been
highly esteemed in Europe lor their lubricating qualities,
and wherever used in this country, the Oils made by
this Company, have been pronounced by the mauy par
ties using them to be fully equal to the best Sperm, at a
price greatly reduced. The Oils made by this Company,
differ materially from other Gunnel Coal Oils sold in this
country. Every barrel of Oil sold by this Company is
warranted to answer the purjaises for which it is intended.
The Oil is pronounced by competent judges to be the
cheapest and best that can lie obtained for Railroads,
Cotton-Mills and all other line machinery as the following
certificates, from individuals now using it, who are ex
tensively known here and elsewhere, will prove. For
sale in large quantities at the wholesale prices, at which
it is furnished at the Factory, with insurance, freight and
exchange added. CLARKE & LEWIS, Agents,
Atlanta, Ga.
Atlanta, Feb. 18th, 1858.
This will certify, that we are now using the CaunelCoal
Oil, manufactured by the Union Coal and Oil Company,
on the Atlauta & West Point Railroad, and we have found
the Oil a very line Lubricator, much superior to the sjierm
Oil we have been using which costs us in New York, 81.40
per gallon. The Oil being free from gum, it has a thin
appearance, but its lubricating qualities, make it a better
Oil than we have been able to obtain and we have no
doubt but that it will be generally used for Railroad pur-
1 loses, and other flue muchiuery. IV. RUSHTOX,
Master Machinist, Georgia Railroad Shop.
Masikk Machinist's Offick M. & C. R. R. >
Memphis, January 9, 1358. }
This will certify that I am using the PARAFF1XG CaX-
XEL COAL OIL, manufactured by the Coal and Oil Com
pany of Maysville Ky., in our Machine shops and ou the
locomotives on the Memphis and Charleston Railroad, and
having given it the severest tests, in order to prove its
qualities as a lubricating oil. 1 have no hesitation in
recommeudingit as a superior Oil for Railroad purposes,
both in regard to economy and as a perfect Lubricator.
I believe it to be the best oil 1 have used, aud that one
gallon will go as far as two gallons of Lard Oil. Tlie ma
chinery is now running in the shops with twenty per
cent, less power than is required for ordinary oil. The
fluidity of the oil arises, 1 am convinced, front tlie total
absence of gum, and does not allect its lubricating prop
erties, but only requires that tlie orifices in the oil cups
aud feeders should be reduced iu order to use the oil
economically. WM-. R. XIPHOID,
Master Machinist.
The above named Wm. Nichols, is Master Machinist on
the Western division of the Memphis and Charleston Rail
road. From his knowledge of lubricating oils, aud his
long experience in their use, he is abundantly able to
judge in the opinion expressed above. B. AYRES,
Superintendent Transportation, M. D.
W. R. Nichols is the Master Mechanic iu our shops at
this place, and 1 have every confidence in his opinion as
a man weH qualified to till the position he occupies. His
opinion iu relation to tile Lubricating Oil referred to in
the foregoing certificate, is entitled to high consideration.
