The Liver Pill may also be used where purging is simply necessary. As an anti-bilious purgative they are inferior to none. M.; arrive at Chattanooga 12.2' the Washington correspondent of the New York Journal of Commerce states, by telegraph, that our Government baa re ceived from Nicaragua official documents to the effect that neither Col. Kinney nor any of his colleagues are entitled to any land in Nicaragua under bis grant. Lea and Fer rer, from whom be pretended to have bought land, state, in their letter to the Nicaraguan Government, that they have never granted or eold a single foot of land to Fabens and Kinney, or any other firm. The correspon dent further states that he is privately in formed that Col. Walker really mot with considerate success in his late attempt.— Mr. Wheeler, the American Minister, who was the last man on board the steamer at San Juan, received intelligence that the Government troopa were flying before Walk er. The Kinney expedition would uow de part from Apluce under the British juris diction, and that Government will hereafter be responsible for its acts. St. Louie, July 20.—Both branches of -the Kansas Legislature met at Westport on the 16th inst. The Governor and all the U. S. territorial officers were present, t ceptiug Justice Lacompte. The Supreme Court meets next week. New Orleans, July 24. Cotton.—The market is unsettled but easier, and not quotably lower. Sales to day of 1,000 bales. Middling 9f to 9J. Cotton picking will begin about the last of this month. There were 239 deaths for the week end ing yesterday—including 119 from Yellow Fever. Mr. Baker, the manager of the National Telegraph line died to-day. The Markets. AUGUSTA, July 25. Cotton.—Tho transactions are limited to a few small parcel*. Price* are not regular.
