THE SOUTHERN WORLD, NOVEMBER 1, 1882. 9 WHAT IS SAID ABOUT US. Stephen J. Cocke, Somerville, Tenn., writes: “ IlikeTm Wobi.d ami hope soon to see yon make it a weekly. Think it worth preserving. Would it not be well to page the paper regularly and give an index at end of the year to accommodate those who wish to preserve and bind ? ” William Stevens, Ridge Spring, S. C. says “ I would not be without Tux Southern World for five times its cost. I think every farmer in the South should subscribe at once. Long may it live and prosper.” ■*» W. H. Bunks, of Huntsville, Ala., writes for 20 copies of our issue of October fifteenth containing Hon. F. C. Furman’s address on Intensive farming. H. M. Barry, of Purdy, Tenn., writes: “ I think The Southern World should be in the hands of every Southern Farmer.” M. H. Zellner, Ashville, Ala., says: "I have for many years been very desirous for some one to publish a number one agricul* tural journal for one dollar. The Southern World fills the bill and I regard you as a great Public Benefactor." Baltimore (Md.) Farm and Fireside: “ The Southern World was one year old on Oct. 15th. It is as vigorous as a three year old. ” Hendersou(Ky.) Reporter “It is the best agricultural and family paper we receive. ” St. Joseph (La.) Journal: This is an excel lent journal. Send for it. ” Scottsboro (Ala.) Herald: The Southern World is a most welcome visitor to our sanc tum. Its matter, editorial and selected, is interesting and instructive.” Columbus (Ohio.) Sunday Herald: One of the best publications of the day, and certain ly the best in the South, is The Southern World issued at Atlanta, Georgia. It has sixteen broad four column pages in every number, and comes out twice a month. It is devoted to fostering and encouraging the in dustries of the South, and should certainly be a welcome visitor alike to the farm, the workshop and the home. The number be* fore us of October 15th, contains not only much general reading of an interesting char acter, but has a mass of information in re* gard to the industries, trade, prospects, advantages and resources of the South, which probably could not be found in any other publication. It is strictly non-political, and iis moral and social tone are both excellent.” BOYS CO.VTES'mU J-'Olt FRIZES.
