The NAACP DeKalb County Branch received the 2016 Lucille Black Award at the 2016 National
Convention of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), held July
16-20 in Cincinnati. The NAACP DeKalb County Branch delegates on hand at the convention to receive
the award were, from left, India Sims, Phyllis Blake, Martha Jackson, Bennie Boyd, Cherry Willis and
the branch’s new President, Teresa Hardy.
