(Civil Non-Jury Trial Calendar)
Counsel and pro se litigants in all lis
ted cases are directed to appear in
Court for the ++Civil Non-Jury Trial
Calendar++ on February 13,2019, at
9:00 A.M. in Courtroom B on the
Second Floor of the Judicial Tower,
located at 556 N. McDonough Street,
Decatur, Georgia 30030. Corpora
tions must be represented by coun
sel in all actions filed on or after June
5, 1997. Eckles v. Atlanta Techno
logy Group, Inc., 267 Ga. 801, 485
S.E.2d 22 (1997). Counsel and
parties should appear with their wit
nesses, ready to proceed to trial at
that time. All conflicts shall be
handled as required by Georgia Uni
form Court Rule 17.1. Attendees at
the Non-Jury Trial Calendar must
have express authority to settle the
pending claim(s) and must be pre
pared to confidentially reveal the
terms of settlement to the Court.
The removal of a case for any reas
on from the Non-Jury Trial Calendar
shall be by Order of the Court only. A
Motion for Continuance must be
made in writing at least ten days be
fore trial, and an Order must be sub
mitted. If a case is settled or other
wise resolved, the parties must notify

All Motions or Demands for a Jury
Trial shall be made in writing as a
separate pleading filed with the Clerk
of State Court, and a copy served on
the opposing parties, at least ten (10)
days prior to the non-jury trial date
shown herein. If a jury trial is not so
demanded, then a party shall be
deemed to have waived the right to
trial by jury for damages pursuant to
Collins v. Jones, 197 Ga. App. 839,
399 S.E.2d 646 (1990).

Failure of the defendant to appear
will result in any counterclaim being
dismissed and the answer being
stricken pursuant to Uniform State
Court Rule 20.

dar call.
Dismissal of any case prior to the cal

(Civil Pre-Trial Conference Calendar)
Counsel and pro se litigants in all lis
ted cases are directed to appear in
Court for the Division VII ++Civil Pre
trial Conference Calendar++ on Feb
ruary 13, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. The pur
pose of this Conference is to determ
ine the status of the case, resolve re
maining issues, and schedule the
case for trial. A consolidated Pre-Tri
al Order will be due sixty (60) days
before trial, but the Order need not
be prepared for the Pre-Trial Confer
ence.
At the Pre-trial Conference, counsel
and parties representing themselves
must be prepared to address any re
maining discovery issues, all pending
or anticipated motions, chances of
settlement, length of trial, number of
jurors, jury pre-qualifications, and
court reporting of the case. Counsel
and parties are expected to confer,
exchange documents and resolve
any discovery disputes. Further, they
must have express authority to settle
