Yes, it's time for studying and homework for those in school, but everyone else can look forward to outdoor events that take advantage of late summer's warmth. Here's a roundup of a few events to put on one's calendar for August, September and October: Music in Chamblee Sister Hazel, known for country and alternative hits, is scheduled to perform 6:30 p.m. Aug. 9 as part of Chamblee's Summer Concert Series. It takes place at City Hall Park, 5468 Peachtree Road, Chamblee. Dancing and food are also part of the concert series. Tunes and 'Que Southern favorites barbecue and music are what draws crowds to the annual Decatur BBQ Blues & Bluegrass Festival. The 19th annual event takes place from 1 to 9 p.m. Aug. 10. Organizers promise hours of live blues and bluegrass from aspiring and accomplished local, regional and national acts along with an assortment of Southern barbecue and plenty of cold beer. New location this year is Legacy Park, 500 Columbia Drive, Decatur. Tickets $15. For more information, go to decaturbbqfestival. com.
