Fest Oct. 31 at 5-8 p.m.

Business association to meet
The South DeKalb Business Association
will hold its October meeting Thursday, Oct. 24,
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Denny’s Restaurant, 2657
Panola Road, Lithonia. The featured speaker will
be Felton B. Williams of the DeKalb County
Purchasing and Contracting Department. With
the topic “Doing Business with DeKalb County,"
Williams will present information and answer
questions. All local business owners are welcome
to attend.

City to host trunk or treat
Lithonia will host its trunk or treat event
Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Main Street.

Stonecrest will host “Tricks and Treats” Oct.
31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Browns Mill Recreation

DCSD to discuss domestic violence
DeKalb County School District will host a
community forum and round table discussion to
address issues surrounding domestic violence
and the effects witnessing violence in the home
has on DCSD students.
The free event will be held Oct. 23 at Robert
R. Freeman Administrative & Instructional
Complex—1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard
in Stone Mountain, from 5:30-8 p.m.
Details of Halloween event announced
Stone Mountain will host “Trunk or Treating”
event Oct. 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the
municipal parking lot. Along with free trick or
treating and face painting, the event will also
include vendors, a marshmallow roasting station
and pumpkins for sale. The municipal parking
lot is located at 922 Main Street. For more
