A CASA volunteer is a trained community member appointed by a juvenile court judge to advocate on behalf of the best interests of an abused and/or neglected child in foster care. The volunteer information session will provide an overview of the DeKalb County CASA program for those interested in volunteering. The event will take place at Gregory A Adams Juvenile Justice Center—4309 Memorial Drive in Decatur—Nov. 19 from 6:15-7:15 p.m. CIARKSTON Library to host estate planning event Clarkston Library will host a “Creating a Legacy Through Estate Planning” event Nov. 21 from noon to 2 p.m. Attendees will be taught how to create a legacy for future generations that will provide for their family and protect personal property.
