For those looking for New Year’s Eve fun,
Friends of the Chamblee Library will host an
event at Chamblee Library—4115 Clairmont
Road.
Music, food and activities will be provided to
the first 75 residents to attend the event from 11
a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
No registration is required to attend.

Christmas is near, school is out
As Christmas and the New Year approaches,
schools will be out of session.
DeKalb County School District will end its
fall 2019 semester Dec. 20 and begin its spring
2020 semester Jan. 6.
City Schools of Decatur will end its fall
2019 semester Dec. 23 and begin its spring 2020
semester Jan. 7.

Agnes Scott College Master Plan open house
Agnes Scott College invites all residents of
Decatur and DeKalb County to a Campus Master
Plan Open House to be held on its campus in
the Elizabeth Kiss Welcome Center located in
Rebekah Scott Hall, 141 E College Ave. on Dec.
19, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
The open house will showcase Agnes Scott
College’s draft plan, focusing on the six big
ideas that will guide the college over the next 10
years and beyond. There will not be a formal
presentation, attendees are free to come and go
during the time allotted. Representatives will
be available to answer questions and obtain
residents’ feedback.
Have breakfast with Santa in Oakhurst
Children and families are invited to a light
breakfast, crafts and a photo-op with Santa,
sponsored by the board of the Community
Center of South Decatur (CCSD). This event is
free to the community and begins at 9:30 a.m. at
