Light the Menorah and Study Torah Congregation Bet Haverim is hosting a Light the Menorah and Study Torah event at 7 p.m. Dec. 23. “No previous Hanukkah or Torah experience required” states the congregation’s website. Grand Menorah Lighting The Decatur Square is the site of a Grand Menorah Lighting from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 29. The square is located at 101 E. Court Square, Decatur. Eight-candle menorahs symbolize oil lasting eight days when there was only enough for one day.
