Major Spill Notice:
3265 McCall Drive, Doraville,
GA 30345
On February 22, 2024 at 10:48
hours, The Department of Wa
tershed Managment was noti
fied of a sewer overflow at
+ + 3265 McCall Drive,
Doraville++. A DeKalb County
crew responded immediately
and found manhole #18-313-
s023 spilling due to vandalism.
This caused approximately
21,680 gallons to spill into tribu
tary C, into North Fork
Peachtree Creek; no evidence
observed offish kill. The county
crew pressure washed the 8-
inch sewer main 250-feet at
tempting to remove the block
age but was unsuccessful. The
county crews notified the emer
gency contractors to set up by
pass pumping which contained
the spill. The problem was cor
rected at approximately 19:50
hours when the county con
tractors were able to remove
the debris; the debris materials
were indicative of vandalism.
The area was disinfected, pub
lic notifications were placed up
stream and downstream of this
location. Also, a work order for
CCTV was created to assess
the sewer line segment(s) for
this location.
