Photos by Jessica Brown High School Basketball: Bethlehem Christian Lady Knights fall to region foe By Chris Bridges Journal Sports Editor Senior Kara Maxwell poured on 16 points but it was not enough for the Beth lehem Christian Academy Lady Knights basketball team Monday night against region rival Loganville Christian Acade my. BCA dropped a 55-27 decision to slip to 3-10 overall and 1-7 in GISA Region 1-AAA. Despite the setback, coach Karen Parker praised the performance of Max well as well as the entire team. “We played better tonight,” Parker said after the game. “We didn’t like the end result but overall we improved.” Maxwell continues to play well after missing several games earlier in the season due to a concussion. The senior scored seven points in the first half and nine in the second during Tuesday night’s home contest. Catherine Doolittle added five points for the Lady Knights while Bailey Brown, Stella Byrd and Olivia Morgan each fin ished with two points. BCA returns to the court Thursday when it hosts Griffin Christian at 6 p.m. The Lady Knights will also host Holy Spirit Prep Monday at 6 p.m. Both games are Region 1-AAA contests.
