High School Basketball: BCA
Knights mauled by Lions
in region contest Monday
By Cliris Bridges
Journal Sports Editor
For the first eight min
utes of Monday night’s
game with Loganville
Christian Academy, the
Bethlehem Christian
Academy boys basketball
team battled to a 17-10
score.
Unfortunately for the
Knights, it was all down
hill from that point.
The visiting Lions went
on a 29-5 run in the second
quarter to open a 46-15
advantage by halftime.
Things didn’t get any
better for the Knights
(5-7, 3-5) in the second
half as they would fall
79-27 in GISA Region
1-AAA action.
Joey Parrilla and Jacob
Parker both finished with
seven points to lead BCA.
The Knights had trouble
breaking a tough LCA
press, especially early in
the contest, and seemed
out of their element offen
sively throughout the con
test.
Aaron Gano, Michael
Tuscano and Tristen
Green each finished with
three points while Tanner
Still and Brady Stewart
both scored two.
BCA will host Griffin
Christian in another region
contest Thursday at 7:30
p.m. as the 2015-2016
postseason approaches.
