Carlan, 63, died Monday, Febru
ary 1, 2016, at Northeast Georgia
Medical Center.
Mr. Carlan was born in Gaines
ville, the son of the late Walton and
Josephine Redmon Carlan. He was
employed with ACH Foam.
Survivors include sons, Jason
Carlan, Homer, and Brian Car
lan and Keith Carlan, both of
Maysville; brothers, Jimmy Carlan,
Homer, and James Carlan, Virginia;
and grandchildren, Brittany Carlan,
Hunter Carlan, Abby Carlan, and
Cody Carlan.

Thursday, February 4, at the chapel
of Little-Ward Funeral Home with
the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating.
Interment was in Grey Hill Cem

She was born August 17, 1935,
in Lumpkin County, Ga., the
daughter of the late Loy Felton and
Norma Lee Woody Odom. She was
preceded in death by her daughter,
Frankie Lynn Cronic; brother, Fred
Felton Odom; sister, Clora Lee
Odom Duck; and grandson, Wesley
William Roberts.
Survivors include her husband
of 62 years, Russell Frank Cronic;
daughters, Teresa Cronic Bell, and
Nancy Cronic Roberts and husband
Donald William Roberts; grandchil
dren, Russell Bell and wife Maria,

Greenway, 47, passed away Tues

Born in Athens on October 7,
1968, she was the daughter of the
late J.B. and Norma Jean Cren
shaw Reynolds. Mrs. Greenway
was a homemaker and was of the
Holiness denomination. She was
full of life and enjoyed traveling,
especially to Myrtle Beach. She
also enjoyed designing flowers and
loved her family fiercely. The world
lost an angel.
Mrs. Green way was also preced
ed in death by a daughter, Deanna
Ochelle McElreath.

Nursing Home in Winder.

cooked her meals for her fami
ly. She was the greatest wife and
mother and provided the best home
life for her husband and children.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Ferrell Jackson Hood;
parents, John Franklyn Walker and
Laura Earlene Hester Walker; son,
Ferrell Dalane Hood; grandson,
John Wesley Coats; granddaughter,
Amber Jo Hood Dunn; brother,
Orin Walker; and sister, Nellie
Maude Walker.

an extended illness.
Mrs. Page was bom on February
11, 1958, in Franklin, N.C., the
daughter of the late Duel and Irene
Edwards Garrett. She was a mem
ber of Mercy Baptist Church, and
had been employed with Kubota,
Sugar Foods, and most recently,
North Georgia Technical College.
In addition to her parents, Mrs.
Page was preceded in death by her
brother, Otis Garrett.

dan, 80, of the Berea Community,
Commerce, passed away Saturday,

battle with dementia.
A much loved husband, father,
brother and “popee,” he was the

Royston. In
his many years
as a member of
Bluestone Baptist Church, Madi
son County, Ga., he touched many
lives as youth director and Sunday
School teacher. He retired from
PPG Industries, where he worked
as a color consultant to Walt Dis
ney World, Orlando, Fla. He was
a United States Air Force veteran,
having served honorably during the
Korean Conflict. Mr. Sheridan was
preceded in death by a brother, Dan
Sheridan.

Mary Wade
Mary Anglin Chandler Wade,
age 84, died Saturday, January 30,
2016, at her sister Alice’s home,
where she was taking care of her
during her last days.
Ms. Wade was a native of Com
merce, but spent most of her life in
the Atlanta metro area. She worked
for Sears and Roebuck for many
years as a switchboard operator.
She loved her precious friends in
the apartment community where
she lived prior to her health declin
ing. She loved each and every one
of them dearly and would often
speak of her friend, Marlene Wood
and say, “Marlene is my guard
ian angel.” Ms. Wade also had
such a wonderful friendship with
Angie Hooper, who was not only
her banker, but was always there
for her checking on her and doing
whatever Angie could for her.
Ms. Wade was preceded in
death by her parents, Clyde and
Susie Anglin; her children’s father,
Malcom Chandler; sisters, Martha
Kolen, Pat Holt, Sue Hill, Freda
Baxter, and Nance Hill Roberts;
brother, Jimmy Anglin; sons, Larry
and Jerry Chandler; and daughter,
Janet Howard.
Survivors include daughters,
Wanda Pugh and Myra Ward
(Bob); sister, Alice Whitener (Dan);
a number of grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and great-great-
grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held
Saturday, February 6, at 11 a.m.,
from the chapel of Little-Ward
Funeral Home with the Rev. Don
ald Wilson officiating. The family
will receive friends at the funeral
home Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.,
prior to the service.
Wanda and Myra want to say
a big “Thank You” to the ladies
that were always so good to their
mother. Ms. Wade will be solely
missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Thursday, February 4, at
Ivie Funeral Home Chapel in Com
merce with the Rev. Bo Whistnant
and Levi Crumley officiating. The
family will receive friends from 6
to 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 3,
at the funeral home.

Deoshia Mae
Borders
She was born to the late Boz-
zanna and Inez Patterson Borders.
Mae was one of five children born
to this union. She attended Jackson
County public school system. She
was the owner and operator of Bor
ders home for the elderly. Her pas
sion was caring for people, which
she did extremely well. She was
a wonderful mother, grandmother,
aunt, sister, and friend to everyone.
She was a very spiritual person and
was a member of Saint Paul First
Baptist church. She possessed a
wonderful personality, spirit, and
will be missed dearly.
Survivors include children,
James and Brenda Walker, Otis
and Megan Walker, Jacqueline
Walker; sisters, Pristine Borders,
JoAnn Borders, and Mable Bor
ders; grandchildren Nakita and
Dewayne Ginaga, Antonia Martin,
Mylik Spear, and Gabreon Walker;
great-grandchildren, Ky’yonna
Martin and Kyla Martin; and spe
cial friend, Ned Applebee.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, February 3, at the
funeral home.
Forest-Glen Mortuary, Jefferson,
was in charge of arrangements.
