High School Basketball: AHS
Gainesville too strong for AHS
Visiting Gainesville left town with a 75-59 win against
Apalachee High School Tuesday night.
Kamar Baldwin scored 28 points for the Wildcats (17-5
overall.) Baldwin, already the all-time leading scorer in
Barrow County history, set two more school records Tues
day night. The AHS senior now holds the school mark for
most steals and most rebounds. (See more information in
next week’s edition on these records.)
Gainesville led 25-19 after the first quarter and 40-28 at
halftime. Jabari Hill added eight points for the Wildcats
while Ricky Wonzon scored seven.
“Tonight, they were just a better team,” said AHS coach
Kevin Morris.
AHS hosts Discovery High School Friday.
